The three-day, three-game stretch begins today when the Pittsburgh Pirates come to town. With large crowds anticipated, fans are encouraged to arrive early and consider utilizing the Trolley, COASTER or ride share to AmericaĄŻs #1 Ballpark. During MondayĄŻs pregame ceremonies, the Padres will celebrate nine students selected for the Tony Gwynn Community All-Star Program. The program, which was inspired by Tony GwynnĄŻs leadership within the San Diego community, his devotion to the city, and his Hall of Fame playing career, recognizes and honors local San Diego youth that embody GwynnĄŻs dedication to supporting their local community. High school students were eligible to apply for the grant so long as they were currently involved in working with a local non-profit in support of underserved segments throughout the San Diego community.
