Rangers First Baseman Nathaniel Lowe to sponsor 2024 program
Arlington, Texas¡ªThe Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation, in partnership with American Airlines and Texas Rangers first baseman Nathaniel Lowe, will host over 70 San Diego-based Marines, Sailors, and their guests for a two-day VIP experience. The event, scheduled for August 19-20, includes Monday night¡¯s Rangers-Pirates game and an exclusive tour of the George W. Bush Presidential Center.
The service members and their guests will be treated to the ultimate baseball experience, including a pre-game tour, on-field batting practice, a meet-and-greet with Rangers players and coaches, and the night will be capped off as they watch the game from the Party suites.
As part of the Seats for Heroes program, the all-expense-paid two-day trip continues Tuesday, August 20, with a breakfast buffet at Texas Live!, followed by a private tour of the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas. The group will have the opportunity to reflect on the nation¡¯s history and their own service.
¡°We are incredibly honored to welcome these brave servicemembers and their guests to Globe Life Field,¡± said Karin Morris, Executive Director of the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. ¡°This initiative, made possible through our ongoing partnership with American Airlines, allows us to express our deep gratitude for their sacrifices and service. We are committed to giving them a truly memorable experience.¡±
American Airlines will charter the Airbus A321 Flagship Valor donated aircraft to and from San Diego, which pays tribute to Medal of Honor recipients with a unique exterior wrap that depicts major military conflicts and the six characteristics that embody the Medal of Honor and those who have received it.
"American Airlines is proud to welcome these service members to the Dallas-Fort Worth area for a memorable experience with the Texas Rangers and the George W. Bush Presidential Library," said Griffin Gonzalez, Director of Partnerships and Community at American Airlines. "We are dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifice of our nation's heroes and are grateful for our partners who share this commitment."
In coordination with the Armed Services YMCA, service members participating in the two-day trip include those from several military hospitals and bases.
American Airlines and the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation are also continuing their partnership on the Faces of Freedom program this year.
