TORONTO -- Bryce Harper exited Wednesday¡¯s 4-2 win over the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre before the third inning after getting hit on his left elbow with a pitch in the first. The Phillies said he sustained a bruise and that he will be further evaluated, though Harper himself said, ¡°I feel good. I feel fine," following the game.

This is not the elbow that has been bothering Harper, who winced after taking a swing in the ninth inning of Tuesday night¡¯s 10-9 victory over the Blue Jays. Harper told MLB.com last week that he has been playing with a sore wrist and sore right elbow.

¡°He¡¯s fine,¡± manager Rob Thomson said before the game, referring to the right elbow.

Asked about any concerns with Harper¡¯s right elbow, Thomson said, ¡°My concern lies with the concern of the trainers and Harp, and they seem to not have any concern. I think it¡¯s just something that he¡¯s got to play through, and he¡¯ll be fine. ¡­ It grabs a little bit, but no structural damage. Nothing like that.

¡°I think it happens more on swings and misses, so I told him, ¡®Don¡¯t swing and miss.¡¯¡±
