Was named to the International League post-season All-Star team (utilityman)…Hit .333 (99-for- 297) with 25 doubles, eight home runs, 45 RBI and a .918 OPS in 78 games at the Triple-A level between Worcester and Indianapolis...Entered the season ranked as Boston’s No. 8 prospect according to Baseball America while also being recognized as the organization’s “Best Hitter for Average” for the third straight season by the same publication...Was a non-roster invitee with the Red Sox in Spring Training... Began season with Portland (Red Sox’ AA), where he made 33 starts at second base and 11 in left field...Was promoted to Worcester on 6/5...Hit safely in 18 of his 20 Triple-A game in June, going 27-for-79 (.342) with six doubles, 10 RBI, a .435 OBP and a .929 OPS...Homered twice and had five RBI on 7/2 at Syracuse...Hit two home runs again on 7/10 vs. Rochester (his only four home runs hit in July)…Hit a combined .278 (89-for-320) with 16 doubles, 10 home runs, 46 RBI, 14 stolen bases, a .363 on-base percentage, .422 slugging percentage and .785 OPS in 83 games between Portland Worcester before being acquired by the Pirates on 7/29... Spent the entire season with Double-A Portland, where he was named the team’s MVP after leading the Sea Dogs in runs scored (74), hits (119), doubles (25) and RBI (61)...Also ranked among the Eastern League’s top 10 in AVG (sixth), hits (second), doubles (third), triples (T-2nd), XBH (eighth), total bases (fourth, 193) and runs scored (third)...Posted a .984 fielding percentage at 2B, which ranked second in the Eastern League...Was selected to play in the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game on 7/8, playing the entire game at 2B and going 1-for-3 with a double.
