Dec. 28: Will Dodgers make more moves after bringing back Teoscar?
Teoscar Hern¨˘ndez isn't going anywhere. The power-hitting outfielder has agreed to a three-year deal to return to the Dodgers with a club option for 2028, a source told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand. With Hern¨˘ndez back in the fold, will Los Angeles make any other moves this offseason?
According to The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal (subscription required), the Dodgers have explored a handful of intriguing right-handed-hitting options, which include Ha-Seong Kim in free agency and outfielders Luis Robert Jr. and Seiya Suzuki in trades. But after signing Michael Conforto to a one-year deal and bringing back Hern¨˘ndez, adding another outfielder seems considerably less likely. Kim could still be a fit for the Dodgers in the infield, although he might miss the beginning of next season due to shoulder surgery.
Dec. 28: Dodgers have met with Sasaki (report)
The Dodgers are the sixth known team to have had an in-person meeting with Sasaki, according to a report in the Orange County Register. The other clubs who have reportedly met with the 23-year-old phenom are the Mets, Yankees Cubs, Rangers and Giants.
The Dodgers and Padres are reportedly the favorites to land Sasaki, though given how relatively affordable he will be, there will likely be many other teams making a play for him. Sasaki's agent Joel Wolfe said during the Winter Meetings that Sasaki may prefer a mid-to-small-market club, ostensibly opening up the bidding to all 30 teams. More >
Dec. 9: Dodgers not done bolstering bullpen after re-signing Treinen (report)
Veteran reliever Blake Treinen is back with the Dodgers on a two-year, $22 million deal, but that doesn't mean the defending World Series champions are done adding to their bullpen. According to a report from The Athletic (subscription required), the club is "looking at the top of [the reliever] market," including free-agent left-hander Tanner Scott.
Scott, 30, has been one of the best relievers in the game the past two seasons, posting a 2.04 ERA with a 31.3% strikeout rate between the Marlins and Padres, earning his first All-Star selection in 2024.
