Owner of the slowest fastball in MLB names his son ... Nolan Ryan!

Giants right-hander Tyler Rogers is the owner of the slowest fastball in the Majors. But he and his wife, Jennifer, have paid homage to one of the game’s greatest fireballers with the new addition to their family.

Tyler and Jennifer recently celebrated the birth of their second son and named him Nolan. Nolan’s middle name? It’s Jennifer’s maiden name: Ryan.

Yep, welcome to the world, Nolan Ryan Rogers!

Nolan will grow up around the game with his older brother, Jack, with whom he shares the same middle name. So perhaps when they aren’t watching baseball, they will be reading Tom Clancy novels.
