Rangers announce 2025 television broadcast viewing options; the new Rangers Sports Network will produce all local broadcasts
Arlington, Texas ¡ª The Texas Rangers today announced details for the club¡¯s 2025 television game broadcasts on Rangers Sports Network (RSN). Fans will have options to access local game broadcasts through traditional carriers, the Victory+ app, and a package of free over-the-air games.
Rangers Sports Network has reached multi-year agreements with several distributors to carry local broadcasts in the club¡¯s five-state television territory covering Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and parts of New Mexico.
¡°Given the challenges in the landscape for local game broadcasts the past few years, it was essential for us to provide fans with multiple ways to watch Rangers baseball,¡± said Chairman of the new Rangers Entertainment and Media Company LLC Neil Leibman. ¡°Today¡¯s announcement is the culmination of many months of hard work to build Rangers Sports Network and bring these options to our fans. We are pleased with the efforts to this point and will continue working to create a high-quality broadcast.¡±
The team¡¯s television game broadcasts will be produced and distributed by Rangers Sports Network, with full information and updates posted at rangers.com/tunein. While the Rangers will continue to pursue additional providers to carry games, fans currently have three primary pathways to view games in 2025:
Traditional Providers
Rangers Sports Network has partnered with several traditional cable and digital television providers which will carry the team¡¯s game broadcasts this season. While the club continues to finalize deals with many other providers, the current list of partners slated to televise the Rangers this season includes DIRECTV satellite, satellite-free streaming, and U-verse, as well as Spectrum. Each distributor will house a specific channel for RSN and that individual channel will go live for the club¡¯s pregame show, the game broadcast, and postgame productions. Traditional providers¡¯ customers will have the ability to authenticate through Victory+ for access to the streaming platform.
Victory+ App
It was announced on January 15 that the Rangers would partner with APMC, owner of Victory+, on a deal that will make Victory+ the direct-to-consumer streaming home for the approximately 150 Texas Rangers regional television broadcasts beginning in 2025. Fans in the Rangers¡¯ television territory will be able to purchase a Season Pass to watch games on Victory+ for just $100, granting them access to the full season of Rangers baseball, including select Spring Training games in March. Access packages will be available for purchase in early February. Updates and more information is available at victoryplus.com/rangers.
Victory+ officially launched in September 2024 and serves as the streaming home for the National Hockey League¡¯s Dallas Stars and Anaheim Ducks games, offering a wide variety of free on-demand sports content and sports channels available to fans everywhere.
Over-The-Air Friday Games
The Rangers are providing fans with free over-the-air (OTA) games this season, the first time the club has included OTA games in its TV package since 2014. The club¡¯s initial television schedule has 15 OTA broadcasts, nearly all for home Friday contests, the first being the club¡¯s second regular season game on Friday, March 28 vs. Boston.
Rangers Sports Network has agreements with Nexstar Media Group and Gray Media, both of which control several OTA stations throughout Rangers television territory in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. Nexstar-owned KDAF-TV, CW33, will serve as the Rangers¡¯ flagship station in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area and carry over-the-air game broadcasts in the market. KDAF-TV is available on several carriers in the market. RSN plans to provide frequent updates regarding OTA game availabilities in the club¡¯s television territory at rangers.com/tunein.
