Frequently Asked QuestionsWho is eligible to purchase 50/50 Raffle tickets?
No person employed by or affiliated with the eligible organization, affiliated sports team or affiliated association holding the registered event, or the eligible recipient organization benefiting from the registered event, or the registered manufacturer and distributor of raffle-related products or services whose products or services are used during the registered event, may participate in any registered event as a raffle player or receive a raffle prize. Participants must be 18 years old to play.
How long are 50/50 tickets sold?
On select home games, raffle team members will be selling tickets from the time the gates open until the end of the 7th inning.
When is the winning number displayed?
The winning number will be displayed after the 8th inning on the scoreboard. If you miss the displayed message, all results will be updated immediately online at www.athletics.com/raffle.
What if there is a delay in the game?
If a game is postponed due to weather or any other unforeseeable circumstance, the raffle will conclude 3 hours from the time the gates open. If the game is canceled prior to the completion of 7 innings of play, the raffle will be closed and a winner will be selected from the tickets purchased up until that point.
Do I have to be present to win?
Ticket holders need not be present to win.
How long do I have to claim my prize?
All prizes must be claimed within 30 calendar days from when the drawing date is located on their raffle ticket.
Where can I find the winning number?
The winning number will be announced via the Public Address System, posted on scoreboard, or online at www.athletics.com/raffle.
Does the winner receive the entire amount displayed on the scoreboard?
The total prize amount of a raffle shall be one-half or 50 percent of the gross proceeds collected from the sale of the raffle tickets displayed on the scoreboard for that game.
If I have the winning ticket, where do I take my ticket to claim my prize?
The winning ticket should be presented immediately to the manual draw supervisor or fiduciary at the 50/50 Raffle Kiosk located at Section 217. If you are no longer at the ballpark, the winning ticket must be presented to an A's representative in person at a scheduled and agreed upon time.
Will the winner receive the money on the night they win?
No, after you complete the appropriate paperwork, you will receive a check in the designated time period.
How long does it take to get the money?
The winner will receive a check within 6-8 weeks after filling out the appropriate paperwork to claim their prize.
I'm out of town, how do I get my money?
The A's can mail a check to the address provided by the winner.
Where does the other half of the money go?
The remaining proceeds will be used by the A's Community Fund to support charitable organizations that aim to improve the quality of life for people throughout the Bay Area.
Are my winnings taxed?
Yes, the Athletics will provide the winners with the appropriate tax documentation forms.
What methods of payment do you accept?
All purchases are now cashless transactions. Acceptable forms of payment include Debit/Credit Cards as well as digital wallets for contactless payments.
What happens if a prize goes unclaimed?
Any prize remaining unclaimed past 30 calendar days after the date in which the raffle was held will be retained by the A's Community Fund.
