There’s an old saying that dogs are a man’s best friend. Shohei Ohtani has certainly embraced that idea -- and then some.
At Tuesday’s All-Star Red Carpet Show presented by Frutitas, Ohtani took that idea one step further when he rocked a suit with his dog, Decoy, designed on the inside of it.

"I chose the color based on my dog, and here's my dog in my suit,” Ohtani said through interpreter Will Ireton.
When Ohtani accepted his 2023 AL MVP Award on MLB Network, he was joined by his dog, who we later found out was named Decoy. Since that point, the relationship between Ohtani and Decoy has only garnered more attention, to the point where the Dodgers are giving away an Ohtani-Decoy bobblehead on Aug. 28 at Dodger Stadium.
In many ways, Ohtani couldn’t be more different than the average person. In this very specific way, though, Ohtani is very relatable with the admiration he has for his dog.
