LOS ANGELE**S ¨C** The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled left-handed pitcher Justin Wrobleski and optioned right-handed pitcher Matt Sauer to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Wrobleski, 24, will make the start this evening. He made one start for Triple-A Oklahoma City, tossing 5.2 innings of scoreless baseball with three strikeouts. He made his Major League debut in 2024, going 1-2 with a 5.70 ERA in eight games. The southpaw is 11-11 with a 3.20 ERA in 59 minor league games. He was drafted by the Dodgers in the 11th round of the 2021 First Year Player Draft out of Oklahoma State University.
Sauer, 26, pitched last night, allowing one run on three hits in 1.2 innings. Last season, he made his Major League debut in 2024 as a member of the Kansas City Royals and went 0-0 with a 7.71 ERA in 14 games. In seven minor league seasons, he is 22-27 with a 4.36 ERA and 451 strikeouts. He was originally drafted by the Yankees in the second round of the 2017 First Year Player Draft out Ernest Righetti High School (Santa Maria, Calif.).
