LOS ANGELES ¨C The Dodgers will host their domestic home opener tomorrow in the first of three games against the Detroit Tigers at Dodger Stadium as part of Opening Week, presented by Bank of America. Los Angeles opened its title defense campaign in Tokyo last week against the Chicago Cubs, claiming victory in both games. Tickets are available for all six games of the homestand and can be purchased at Dodgers.com/Tickets.
Fans are in for an extraordinary Opening Week, presented by Bank of America, as the Detroit Tigers open the regular season at 4:10 p.m. against the Dodgers for the first time in either club¡¯s history, making the matchup the first time the Dodgers have faced an American League opponent in their home opener. Thursday¡¯s Opening Day will be a Hollywood show for the ages, including appearances and performances from top-tiered special guests. For the second year in a row, Grammy-nominated artist Josh Groban will sing the national anthem, accompanied by a flyover from a two F-15C aircrafts from the 144th Fight Wing in Fresno, California and two F-35A Lightning II fighter jets from the 63rd Fighter Squadron of Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. Firefighters from the Los Angeles County Fire Department, Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) and Pasadena Fire Department will salute the American flag for the national anthem, which will be hanging in Lot I from firetrucks from Station 20. LAFD fire captain Jerry Puga and Pasadena Fire Department fire captain Jodi Slicker will have the honor to unveil the 2024 World Series emblem prior to first pitch. Fans are encouraged to get to their seats before 3:30 p.m. for pregame elements.
Friday night¡¯s game will celebrate the Dodgers¡¯ eighth World Series title with a Ring Ceremony as players, coaches and staff will receive their gem-studded World Series rings prior to the 7:10 p.m. game. American actor, comedian and television host Anthony Anderson will host the Ring Ceremony as Randy Thomas, 10-time Academy Awards announcer, narrates the event. Legends of Dodger Baseball inductees, Steve Garvey, Orel Hershiser and Manny Mota will toss out the ceremonial first pitch as Hall of Fame broadcaster Jaime Jarr¨ªn will say, ¡°It¡¯s Time for Dodger Baseball.¡± The celebration will continue after the matchup as the first of nine drone shows will return for a third straight season, with this iteration displaying commemorative moments of the Dodgers¡¯ 2024 World Series run. Fans attending Saturday¡¯s 6:10 p.m. series finale will take home an Orel Hershiser jersey, presented by Bank of America, and enjoy a pregame recognition of the team¡¯s 2024 Silver Slugger recipients, Mookie Betts, Teoscar Hern¨¢ndez and Shohei Ohtani.
The Atlanta Braves will make their first and only trip to Dodger Stadium in 2025 starting on Monday, March 31 with a 7:10 p.m. start. Ticketed fans will take home a blue Dodgers hoodie, presented by Bank of America. Taco Tuesdays, presented by Tito¡¯s Handmade Vodka, returns to Chavez Ravine as specialty food and drinks will be served throughout the ballpark. The organization will also celebrate Healthcare Appreciation Night on Tuesday with an insulated Dodger water bottle, available to those who purchase a special ticket pack ahead of the 7:10 p.m. game. The six-game homestand will conclude with an early start on Wednesday at 5:38 p.m. as the first bobblehead of the season will be passed out, a Shohei Ohtani MVP bobblehead. On behalf of Shohei Ohtani, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) is dedicating the night¡¯s 50/50 raffle proceeds to families who are rebuilding after the Eaton and Palisades fires.
The LADF returns for the 2025 season with exciting in-stadium fundraising opportunities for fans to give back while celebrating their team. Fans can support LADF by purchasing a 50/50 raffle ticket from sellers in pink aprons, shopping exclusive merchandise and memorabilia at the LADF Homebase Store, bidding on autographed items at Dodgers.com/Auctions, or purchasing personalized ribbon board messages at Dodgers.com/RibbonBoards. New this season, fans can create their own custom collectible Dodgers baseball trading card - available only at Dodger Stadium in Centerfield Plaza.
LADF will dedicate net proceeds from Thursday and Friday¡¯s games to help rebuild communities impacted by the Eaton and Palisades fires. Funds will support the reconstruction of two Dodgers Dreamfields at Loma Alta Park in Altadena and the rebuild of the Palisades-Malibu YMCA, including vital programming for displaced families. In addition, from Opening Day through April 2, fans can bid for the chance to own a custom 2024 World Series Ring at Dodgers.com/Auctions, with proceeds benefiting LADF¡¯s programs and fire relief efforts. Dodger fans will also have the first opportunity to register for LADF¡¯s Sunset Run presented by Bank of America, UCLA Health and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power at Dodgers.com/Run as it returns to Dodger Stadium.
The Dodgers will also introduce ¡°Frontline Hero of the Game,¡± a new element honoring local heroes in the Los Angeles communities. In partnership with Fanatics, the Frontline Hero of the Game will exclusively recognize firefighters who fought against the recent Los Angeles County wildfires, once per series during the 2025 season. Honorees will be recognized on-field during pregame ceremonies throughout the year.
Auto and stadium gates will open for Opening Day at 1:10 p.m. and the Dodgers encourage fans to arrive early, with pregame ceremonies starting at 3:30 p.m. The free Dodger Stadium Express will start operating at 1:10 p.m. from Union Station as well as from the South Bay Harbor Gateway Transit Center. For Friday¡¯s Ring Ceremony, auto and stadium gates will again open early at 4:10 p.m. Auto and stadium gates will return to normal entry times for the remainder of the homestand, opening 2.5 hours and two hours prior to first pitch, respectively.
Uber, the Dodgers¡¯ official rideshare program, has changed drop-off and pickup locations for the 2025 season. The rideshare service will now enter through Gate B, off of Stadium Way, to pick up and drop off riders in Lot 1, to allow a smoother entry and exit experience.
