Vice President, Security & Guest Services
Shahram Ariane was appointed as Dodgers¡¯ Vice President of Security & Guest Services in February of 2014. Ariane had previously served as Dodgers¡¯ Director of Security & Guest Services, 2005 thru 2010.
Prior to rejoining Dodgers in 2014, Ariane served as the Director Campus Safety for The Claremont University Consortium. Founded in 1887, the Claremont Colleges is made up of seven distinguished institutions on a 550-acre campus that include Claremont McKenna College, Pomona College, Claremont Graduate University, Scripps College, Pitzer College, Harvey Mudd College, and Keck Graduate Institute.
Prior to joining the Dodgers in 2005, Ariane served as the Vice President of Security for STAPLES Center in Los Angeles. Ariane played a key role in the successful public safety planning and implementation of a series of large-scale events since the opening of STAPLES Center in 1999. These included such prominent events as the Democratic National Convention in 2000, the Grammy Awards, U.S. National Figure Skating Championship, NHL and NBA All-Star Games, three NBA championship series, and numerous other large-scale events.
Ariane¡¯s professional background in public safety spans more than 28 years and includes specialized training in threat and vulnerability assessment by the United States Department of Defense, disaster preparedness and emergency response by the City of Los Angeles Fire Department, and emergency operation management by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in conjunction with the United States Secret Service.
Ariane is an ASIS Board Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and has a B.A. degree in Political Science.
