Underwent ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction "Tommy John" surgery on his right elbow on August 28th...Mets Medical Director Dr. David Altchek performed the procedure at the Hospital for Special Surgery...Missed June and July while trying to rehab from a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament of his right elbow...Made four appearances with New Orleans (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League in August before he was shut down...Began the season with the Mets before he was optioned to New Orleans on May 5th...Recalled for a second time on May 15th... Optioned back to the Zephyrs on May 29th...Pitched 2.0 perfect innings to earn his first win with New York on May 17th vs. Chicago as the Mets rallied for five runs in the ninth to win, 6-5...Righthanded batters hit .122 (5-41) against him...Hurled 5.1 scoreless innings from April 14th-April 20th...Tossed a season-high 2.0 innings eight times...Has 156 strikeouts in 160.0 career major league innings.
