Selected by the Marlins in Competitive Balance Round A (35th overall) of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Missouri… was the first Missouri position player to be selected in the first round since catcher Steve Patchin in 1971...Selected by the Royals in the 33rd round of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft, but opted to play collegiately at Missouri...His 50 career stolen bases rank fifth in Missouri history…hit a team-best .360 (45-for-125) over 34 games as a sophomore in 2018…led the nation with 32 walks before a foot injury caused him to miss the final six weeks of the season...Hit .422 with eight HR as a senior at Poplar Bluff High School…also pitched, turning in a 2.13 ERA with a team-leading 48 SO across 32 frames...While growing up in Missouri, Kameron was known for his wild, fearless antics…his brother, Logan, recalls how Kameron went through at least 15 bikes during his childhood, none of which had brakes…one of his favorite activities was speeding down the steep hill near his childhood home…he would use his feet to slow down, wearing out the rubber soles on countless pairs of shoes, or fling himself into the grass for a softer landing...During his eight-game stint in the majors last season, Kameron had the opportunity to play at Busch Stadium, located approximately 2.5 hours north from his hometown of Poplar Bluff…when asked how many friends and family members would be in attendance for the series, Kameron responded, “How many people are in my town?”.

Had his first stint in the Majors from Aug. 2-30, appearing in eight games…made his MLB debut on Aug. 2 at HOU, pinch running for Yandy Díaz in the eighth inning before flying out in his first career at-bat against Josh Hader in the ninth...Recorded his first career hit on Aug. 22 at OAK, tallying a single off a 100.8 mph Mason Miller fastball…became the third player in the pitch-tracking era (since 2008) to record his first career hit on a 100 mph (or faster) pitch, joining WSH Blake Rutherford (Aug. 12, 2023 vs. OAK) and SD Logan Forsythe (May 28, 2011 at WSH)...Named Triple-A Durham’s team MVP after hitting .248/.360/.442 (109-for-439) with 26 2B, four 3B, 17 HR, 55 RBI, 73 BB, 77 runs and 30 SB across 113 games...Led Durham in walks, runs and steals while also ranking highly in hits (third), doubles (third), triples (T3rd) and home runs (fourth)...Ranked highly among Rays Minor Leaguers in walks (second), extra-base hits (third, 47), runs scored (fourth), total bases (fifth, 194), doubles (sixth), home runs (seventh) and hits (ninth).

Hit .226/.363/.458 (95-for-421) with 25 2B, five 3B, 21 HR, 58 RBI, 91 BB and 21 SB in 130 games for Triple-A Durham…ranked among Rays farmhands in walks (second), doubles (T3rd), runs (T3rd, 85), XBH (T4th, 51), homers (seventh) and total bases (eighth, 193).

2022

Named to the Southern League postseason All-Star Team…ranked among SL leaders in walks (86, first), on base pct. (.384, third), runs (80, third), steals (32, seventh), OPS (.815, eighth) and doubles (25, tied for eighth)…ranked among Rays Minor Leaguers in walks (first), steals (tied for fifth) and runs (tied for sixth)… ranked by Baseball America as the No. 16 prospect in the Rays system following the season.

2021

Hit .253/.355/.433 (100-for-395) with 12 HR and 59 RBI in 102 games between Class-A Beloit and Double-A Pensacola…ranked among Marlins minor leaguers in doubles (1st, 29), XBH (3rd, 44), runs (3rd, 70), RBI (4th), stolen bases (T4th, 26), walks (5th, 57), hits (6th) and homers (T6th)…played 23 games for the Mesa Solar Sox and his seven HR tied for second in the Arizona Fall League…named to the AFL Rising Stars Game…acquired from the Marlins on Nov. 30 for INF Joey Wendle…ranked by Baseball America as the No. 23 prospect in the Rays system following the season.

2020

Was not part of the Marlins 60-man player pool and did not play following the cancellation of the Minor League season.

2019

In his first professional season in 2019, hit .276 with two home runs and 20 RBI in 34 games for Single-A Clinton. Began his career with eight games with the Gulf Coast League Marlins...Selected by the Marlins in the first round (35th overall) of the Draft out of the University of Missouri.
