AmeriCorps is a network of national service programs, made up of three primary programs that each take a different approach to improving lives and fostering civic engagement. Members commit their time to address critical community needs like increasing academic achievement, mentoring youth, fighting poverty, sustaining national parks, preparing for disasters and more. Our AmeriCorps members will engage in teaching and reinforcing lessons in Character Development, Education, Health and Bullying Prevention with Junior Giants players in all of our leagues. PARTNERSHIPS
The Giants Community Fund is proud to partner with businesses, foundations and nonprofit organizations to bring our programs to life and to leverage resources to raise money. We are grateful for the efforts and energy of these all-star partners:
We are grateful to Bank of America for stepping up to the plate as the Presenting Sponsor of the Junior Giants program. For over two decades, Bank of America's partnership has allowed the program to continue to reach youth across three states.
Chevron and the Giants Community Fund have teamed up to bring science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to Junior Giants participants. Thanks to Chevron, Junior Giants learn how STEM plays a role in the game of baseball through "The Giant Launch" - a fun trajectory activity and lesson.
The Good Tidings Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charity that supports the growth of marginalized youth in Northern California and beyond by creating environments for athletics, the arts, education, and wonder. They engage in charitable partnerships with professional sports teams, pro athletes, legendary artists and talented musicians to make dreams come true.
Good Tidings was created with the spirit of the holiday season in mind and the joy of giving at its core. Their ˇ°mission over moneyˇ± is the cornerstone of everything they do. They believe that every child deserves the access and the means to pursue their dreams. The Good Tidings Foundation aims to provide opportunities that otherwise would be unavailable to kids because of financial status, ethnic origin, religion or region of living.
Good Tidings has built 200+ athletic facilities, art studios, music studios, teen rooms, makers spaces, and more for marginalized children, and has awarded over $1,930,000 in scholarships for children in under-served communities in partnership with professional sports teams and industry icons.
Masons4Mitts is a program of the Masons of California that works with Major League Baseball teams and their charitable foundations to help underserved youth in California. Each baseball season, the Masons of California team up with the San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, and the Los Angeles Angels to bring the fun of baseball to more kids. Lodges in each region face off in friendly competition to help the most kids they can. The team from each region that funds the greatest number of baseball mitts will present a check, along with the grand master and other local leaders, on Masons Night at each ballpark.
Over the past fourteen years, the Masons of California have provided over $1,700,000 to these programs. Learn more about the Masons of California at freemason.org.
