Marlins Youth Academy at Babcock Park in Hialeah

The Marlins Youth Academy at Babcock Park Marlins Nike Jr. RBI season of baseball and softball programming is aimed to teach youth ages (5-12) how to play the game through a 12-week competitive and instructional league. The season consists of four weeks of pre-season and eight weeks of game play and practices. Additionally, the curriculum provides over fifty-five (55) instructional lessons, as well as encouraging positive youth development of social and emotional competencies. This program curriculum focuses on the basic skill development of baseball and softball that includes fielding, hitting, throwing and game situations that are aligned to character development lessons through Jackie Robinson¡¯s nine values: determination, teamwork, integrity, citizenship, justice, commitment, persistence, courage, and excellence. Additionally, the Marlins Spring league will provide athletes will full uniforms (Marlins branded jersey top and hat, a pair of baseball pants and Hialeah branded socks), and qualified and experienced developmental coaching staff. Registration will close on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Spots are limited and individuals may be subject to a waiting list for the league.

Program Details:

• Program Start Date: Monday, February 3, 2025
• Program End Date: Thursday, April 24, 2025
• Program Days: Mondays-Fridays (Practice 2-3 times a week per team depending on weather)
• Game Days: Once a week per team, per division. Schedule and opponents to be announced.
• Practice/Game Times: 6:30PM - 7:30PM
• Teams: Athletes will be split randomly into teams AFTER registration closes in January. If you have any requests for practice days, please email [email protected] by January 22, 2025.

Baseball Age Groups:

• Ages 5-6
• Ages 7-9
• Ages 10-12

Softball Age Groups:

• Ages 7-12

Volunteer Coaches: At the Marlins Youth Academy at Babcock Park, we value the support of parents and guardians who want to share the love for the game and mentor young athletes. The Marlins will provide each volunteer parent coach with the tools to succeed alongside our well-trained staff. Overview: Join us at the 2025 Marlins FanFest for a high-energy, fundamentals-based clinic designed for young baseball and softball players of all skill levels! Participants will rotate through stations led by our Marlins Youth Academy experienced coaches, focusing on essential skills like hitting, fielding, throwing, pitching, bunting, and base running. Each session includes personalized instruction and drills aimed at building strong technique and confidence on the field. Important: Please note that there will be three separate session times throughout the FanFest, to ensure that your family has the ability to enjoy all of the other fun activities that will be happening at the ballpark. Athletes may register for more than one session; all sessions will provide the same station instruction. Everyone must be pre-registered prior to attending that day. This clinic is open for youth ages 5-13. Please bring a glove, all of the other equipment will be provided. Check-in will be open 30 minutes prior to the start time of each session. Check-in and arrival details will be sent in your registration confirmation email.

Session Times:

• Session 1 begins at 5PM
• Session 2 begins at 6PM
• Session 3 beings at 7PM
