In a month, Guardians brass will call in the No. 1 pick and kick off the 2024 Draft.

For Draft junkies, that month might seem like an eternity, but in just under a week¡¯s time, the MLB Draft Combine will be underway, serving as an hors d'oeuvre to tide fans over until the big night.

The Combine, which is being held at Chase Field in Phoenix for the second year in a row, will feature 319 Draft-eligible prospects and span from June 18-23. Among that group are 171 prospects ranked in MLB Pipeline¡¯s Top 200 Draft Prospects list, 82 of the top 100, 38 of the top 50, 13 of the top 20 and four of the top 10.

In total, 193 collegiate prospects are set to attend the event, however, 30 of them are heading to Omaha to compete in the Men¡¯s College World Series. Texas A&M outfielder Braden Montgomery (No. 8), Florida State outfielder James Tibbs (No. 16), North Carolina outfielder Vance Honeycutt (No. 20) and Tennessee second baseman Christian Moore (No. 25) and third baseman Billy Amick (No. 26) all headline that group, which will have the opportunity to attend a similar supplemental event if they can¡¯t attend the Combine. (Montgomery will miss the Men's College World Series with an ankle injury that he sustained during Super Regionals action.)

Other college prospects that plan to attend are West Virginia second baseman JJ Wetherholt (No. 7), East Carolina right-hander Trey Yesavage (No. 11), Wake Forest shortstop Seaver King (No. 13), Oklahoma State outfielder Carson Benge (No. 19) and Iowa right-hander Brody Brecht (No. 21).

Additionally, switch-pitching sensation Jurrangelo Cijntje (No. 31) will be on hand in Arizona. The Mississippi State Bulldog made headlines at the 2022 Combine before opting to attend college.

Notable high school prospects among the 126 expected to take part include Jackson Prep (Flowood, Miss.) shortstop/outfielder Konnor Griffin (No. 9), Harvard-Westlake HS (Los Angeles) shortstop Bryce Ranier (No. 10), Catholic HS (Baton Rouge, La.) right-hander William Schmidt (No. 12), Saguaro HS (Scottsdale, Ariz.) left-hander Cam Caminiti (No. 17) and York Community HS (Elmhurst, Ill.) right-hander Ryan Sloan (No. 18).

Each of the top nine high school prospects will be participating in the Combine.

Prospects in attendance will have the chance to participate in Prospect Development Pipeline performance assessments -- a series of comprehensive evaluations that utilize state-of-the-art technology to measure cognitive skills, speed of processing, athletic performance and on-field talent. They will also be able to take part in a pro-style showcase workout and strength tests.

For the fourth consecutive year, MLB Network will have exclusive coverage live from Phoenix. Beginning at 1 p.m. ET on June 18, there will be a complete broadcast of the event and breakdowns from MLB Network personalities and analysts, including Greg Amsinger, Jared Carrabis, Jim Callis, Al Leiter, Albert Pujols, Dan O'Dowd, Harold Reynolds, Xavier Scruggs and Buck Showalter. The five hours of coverage on Tuesday are also streaming on MLB.com, MLB.TV and in the MLB App.

Pitching Ninja analyst Rob Friedman will provide on-site analysis and Marquee Sports Network Player Development Analyst Lance Brozdowski will make his first appearance on the Network. Interviews with players and club personnel will also be featured as part of the coverage.

That same day at 6 p.m. local time, the Combine High School Game will take place, giving high school Draft prospects the opportunity to show their talent against the nation's best.

There will be 19 Combine participants -- including Montgomery, Moore, David Hogg II, Jacob Walsh and Trey Lawrence -- that have been a part of MLB¡¯s developmental programming, such as the DREAM Series, Breakthrough Series, Hank Aaron Invitational, Nike Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities Program (RBI), High School All American Game and the HBCU Swingman Classic Presented by T-Mobile Powered by the MLB-MLBPA Youth Development Foundation. Several of these athletes will be a part of MLB Network¡¯s live coverage of the event, including Ty Southisene (No. 110), Jay Abernathy (No. 122), Myles Bailey (No. 167) and Cameron Bufford.

Attendees will have the opportunity to be interviewed by and interact with big league general managers and scouting directors. There will also be numerous former Major Leaguers present to help them on their journey. Members of the Commissioner's Ambassador Program Michael Bourn, Jeremy Guthrie and Nick Swisher will be joined by Gregor Blanco, Dan Otero, Brad Penny, Dmitri Young, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Bruce Chen, Luis Alicea and Jeff Reboulet, as well as former hitting coach Rick Eckstein and former manager John McLaren.

The Combine is the final stop before the MLB Draft, which is set for July 14-16 during All-Star Week in Arlington, Tex.
