Status: Fractured his tibia by fouling a ball off his shin in an April 12 game against the Athletics. Will undergo follow-up testing on April 21 but is expected to miss at least three weeks. (updated April 17) More >>

Injury: Fractured left hamate bone
IL date: March 27 (10-day IL, retro to March 24)
Expected return: Late April
Status: Continued rehab assignment with Double-A Binghamton on April 15, homering in his first game. Is scheduled to play back-to-back nine-inning games April 18-19, after which he could be activated. (updated April 17) More >>
RHP Frankie Montas
Injury: High-grade right lat strain
IL date: March 27 (15-day IL, retro to March 24)
Expected return: Late May or June
Status: Upon straining his lat in mid-February, entered a period of six to eight weeks without throwing. Has been throwing off flat ground since early April but won't progress to mound work until the end of the month. Will need a full Spring Training-style buildup once recovered. Injury: Right oblique strain

Expected return: Mid- to late April
Status: Began a rehab assignment April 11 with Single-A St. Lucie and is scheduled to continue playing games there through April 17, manning multiple positions. Is likely to move to the upper Minors after that time. (updated April 16) More >>
INF Ronny Mauricio
Injury: Torn ACL in right knee
IL date: March 27 (10-day IL, retro to March 24)
Expected return: First half of 2025
Status: Underwent arthroscopic surgery on Aug. 2 to remove scar tissue resulting from his original operation. Returned to game action as a DH for the Gulf Coast Mets on April 15 but won't progress to the upper Minors until May. (updated April 16)
RHP Paul Blackburn
Injury: Right knee inflammation
IL date: March 27 (15-day IL, retro to March 24)
Expected return: Mid- to late April
Status: Threw one inning in a live batting practice session April 11 in Brooklyn and extended that to two on April 15. Tentatively scheduled to begin a rehab assignment on April 19. (updated April 16)
LHP Sean Manaea
Injury: Strained right oblique
IL date: March 29 (15-day IL, retro to March 24)
Expected return: Late May at the earliest
Status: Received a platelet-rich plasma injection on March 31 and an encouraging follow-up MRI on April 14. Resumed throwing on that day but will be limited to flat ground work through at least April 23. (updated April 14) More >>
INF Nick Madrigal
Injury: Fractured left shoulder
IL date: Feb. 24 (60-day IL)
Expected return: 2026
Status: Dislocated and fractured his shoulder during a Feb. 23 Grapefruit League game and subsequently underwent season-ending surgery. Under team control through 2026, should the Mets decide to tender him a contract. (updated March 12) More >>
RHP Christian Scott
Injury: Sprained UCL in right elbow
IL date: March 27 (60-day IL)
Expected return: 2026
Status: Underwent a hybrid Tommy John surgery in September 2024 and will almost certainly miss all of 2025. Began throwing for the first time again on March 11. (updated March 12)
RHP Drew Smith
Injury: Recovery from Tommy John surgery with internal brace
IL date: Feb. 13 (60-day IL)
Expected return: 2026
Status: Injured his elbow in June 2024 and underwent surgery the following month. Subsequently signed a one-year deal with a 2026 team option to return to the Mets, who will oversee his rehab in hopes of having him back in their bullpen next year. (updated Feb. 15)
