2023

Pete made his Major League debut Sept. 11, 2023 ... he played in 13 games with the Cubs, picking up three walks, one RBI and two stolen bases...Hit .283 (124-for-438) with 26 doubles, seven triples, 20 home runs, 82 RBI, 37 stolen bases and a .511 slugging percentage in 107 minor league games between Double-A Tennessee and Triple-A Iowa, his first appearances at the Double-A and Triple-A levels...Named the 2023 MiLB Defensive Player of the Year...Appeared in the Futures Game at All-Star Weekend for the second-straight year...Recorded his first career RBI Sept. 12 at Colorado on a fielder's choice. 

2022

Pete enjoyed a breakout 2022 season, batting a combined .312 (132-for-423) with 20 doubles, 10 triples, 16 home runs, 61 RBI, 32 stolen bases and 36 walks, contributing to a .376 on-base percentage and an .896 OPS in 101 games with Low-A Myrtle Beach and High-A South Bend... In 2022, was the lone player in minor league baseball with a .300+ average, 20+ doubles, 10+ triples, 15+ home runs, 60+ RBI and 30+ stolen bases....Began the season with Myrtle Beach, where he was named the Cubs Minor League Player of the Month for April after hitting .375 (24-for-64) with four doubles, one triple, three home runs and 13 RBI in 16 games....Tallied 12 multi-hit efforts in a 14-game span from April 20-May 7, including seven-straight from April 28-May 7, batting .483 (29-for-60) during that span.... Batted .354 (56-for-158) with five doubles, three triples, seven home runs, 27 RBI and 13 stolen bases in 38 games with Myrtle Beach prior to his May 31 promotion... Was limited to six games in 2021 due to a torn right labrum suffered on May 11 ... hit .417 (10-for-24) with two doubles, four RBI and two steals with Single-A Lucie...Was traded to the Cubs, July 30 for SS Javier Báez and RHP Trevor Williams...Following the season, was ranked as the Cubs' No. 5 prospect per MLB Pipeline.

2020

Did not play after being taken in the first round of First-Year Player Draft in June due to the cancellation of the minor league season.
