Anthony D. Gonsolin…attended St. Mary’s University, where he earned All-WCC First Team honors in 2016 as an outfielder/pitcher...he hit .307 with seven homers and 26 RBI while going 3-3 with a 3.86 ERA in 18 games on the mound…Prior to St. Mary’s, he starred for Vacaville High School…He was named to the All-Monticello Empire League team and was named an Optimist Sacramento Area All-Star and garnered MVP honors for the South squad in the all-star game…originally selected by the Dodgers in the 9th round of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft out of Saint Mary’s University.

2023

In 20 starts for the Dodgers, garnered a 8-5 record with a 4.98 ERA (57 ER/103.0 IP) with 82 strikeouts against 40 walks...Missed the first month of the season with a left ankle injury sustained in spring training…made his first start of the season on April 26... Underwent Tommy John surgery on Sept. 1, performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache, causing him to miss the rest of the season...Recorded three wins in a row from Aug. 2-12 against OAK, SD, and COL…had his best month in May, going 3-1 with a 1.95 ERA (7 ER/32.1 IP) in six starts…was even-keeled against righties and lefties, holding them to a .239 average (49-for-205) and .210 (37-for-176) respectively.

2022

Had a stellar year with a 16-1 record across 24 starts for a 2.14 ERA (31 ER/130.1 IP) and 119 strikeouts against 35 walks for a 0.87 WHIP…set career-best in wins, ERA, innings pitched, strikeouts, opponents batting average (.172), hits-per-nine innings (2.14) and games played...Led the Dodger pitching staff in multiple areas: wins (second, 16), innings pitched (third, 130.1), and strikeouts (fourth, 119)…ranked third in the National League with his 16 wins...Turned 11 quality starts (also career-high) in 24 tries…notched a .941 winning percentage and kept the opposition to a .172/.237/.299 slashline with a .536 OPS...Made his first career All-Star roster and appeared in the game, suffering the loss after allowing three runs in 1.0 innings of work...Allowed two runs or fewer in 20 of his 24 starts… spun 6.0+ innings of work in 12 starts...Pitched a career-high 7.2 innings on July 1 against the Padres, allowing one run on four hits with eight strikeouts, taking home his 10th win of the year...Fired 5.0+ innings in 20 of his 24 starts…longest appearance came on July 1 vs. SD, pitching 7.2 innings of one-run ball with eight strikeouts and no issued walks.

2021

Posted a 4-1 record across 15 Major League games (13 starts) with a 3.23 ERA (20 ER/55.2 IP) and a 1.35 WHIP... Struck out 65 batters and walked 34 for a 10.5 strikeout-per-nine innings mark... Was strong against right-handed hitters, limiting the slash line to .195/.320/.420 versus lefties at .213/.314/.336... His longest starts occurred on July 6 at MIA and July 24 vs. COL at 5.1 innings, striking out a combined 10 batters with three walks and just four hits... Pitched in relief in three NLCS games against Atlanta, producing a 1-0 mark with an 11.25 ERA (5 ER/4.0 IP) and four strikeouts, one walk and one home run... Spent the majority of the season rehabbing his right shoulder, appearing for both Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and Triple-A Oklahoma City, pitching in a combined four games for a 0-0 record and a 3.55 ERA (5 ER/12.2 IP)…fanned ten batters and walked four... Struck out seven batters three times (6/25 vs. CHC, 7/24 vs. COL, 9/24 at ARI), registering two wins in those three appearances…improved his line when facing batters a second time, limiting hitters to a .152/.264/.215 versus .228/.328/.446 in their first at-bats…registered three of his four wins in the second half of the season.

2020

Finished fourth in Rookie of the Year voting, named Baseball America’s MLB Rookie of the Year and selected to the publication’s All-Rookie team after going 2-2 with a 2.31 ERA in nine games (eight starts) over three stints with the Dodgers...Among NL pitchers with 40.0 or more innings, ranked seventh in ERA, fifth in opponents’ batting average (.193), second in WHIP (0.84) and sixth in opponents’ OPS (.518)…led MLB rookies in ERA and WHIP... Allowed just two homers in 46.2 innings, ranking fourth in homers allowed per 9.0 innings (0.39)...Posted the first double-digit strikeout game of his career on Sept. 20 at Colorado, fanning 10 Rockies hitters in 5.0 frames but taking the loss in the Dodgers’ 6-3 defeat... Appeared in four Postseason games (three starts) during the Dodgers’ run to a World Championship, going 0-2 with an 8.68 ERA (9 ER/9.1 IP)…started the club’s World Series clinching Game 6, allowing one run on three hits in a 1.2-inning no-decision.

2019

Finished his first big league season with a 4-2 record and a 2.93 ERA (13 ER/40.0 IP) with a save in 11 games (six starts) across four stints with Los Angeles...In six starts, including his Major League debut, he went 2-2 with a 2.89 ERA (9 ER/28.0 IP), striking out 24 batters against 10 walks while posting a 1.07 WHIP...Made five relief appearances, putting up a 2-0 record with a save and a 3.00 ERA (4 ER/12.0 IP), limiting opponents to a .143 average while registering a 0.92 WHIP… four of his five relief appearances were of 2.0 innings or more, including a 4.0 inning save at Colorado on July 30...allowed only four earned runs in 20.0 innings during the month of August, posting a 1.80 ERA while striking out 16 batters...started the season with Oklahoma Cit y, where he went 2-4 with a 4.35 ERA (20 ER/41.1 IP) in 13 starts, punching out 50 against 21 walks.

2018

Split the season bet ween Advanced -A Rancho Cucamonga and Double-A Tulsa, going 10-2 with a 2.60 ERA (37 ER/128 IP) in 26 starts…he struck out 155 batters against 42 walks, while holding opponents to a .219 batting average...Set career-highs in wins, ERA, starts, innings pitched, strikeouts, batting average against and WHIP (1.14) Started the season with Rancho Cucamonga, going 4-2 with 2.69 ERA (25 ER/ 83.2IP) before being promoted to Double-A Tulsa on July 14...finished the season with Tulsa, earning a 6-0 record with a 2.4 4 ERA in nine starts for the Drillers…won his first four starts with the Drillers and held his opponents to a .203 batting average with 1.08 WHIP...was named MiLB.com Organizational All-Star and California League Mid-Season All-Star.

2017

Spent most of the season with Advanced-A Rancho Cucamonga, where he went 7-5 with a 3.92 ERA (27 ER/62.0 IP), striking out 73 batters against 18 walks while posting a 1.27 WHIP...appeared in three games for Single-A Great Lakes, posting a 0-1 record and a 3.38 ERA (3 ER/8.0 IP) with 12 strikeouts.

2016

In his first professional season, he went 1-2 with a 3.77 ERA (13 ER/31.0 IP) in 19 games between Single-A Great Lakes and Rookie-level Ogden.
