Made his three appearances for the Reds on 7/6 at Wsh, 7/7 at Mil and then as the 27th player on 7/18 vs SF...Spent time on the injured list recovering from injuries to his low back, right knee and left hamstring...On Opening Day went on the 15-day injured list with a low back Pars stress fracture...From 4/4-4/11 made three rehab appearances for the Bats...was returned from that rehab assignment on 4/14, following an exam in Cincinnati to address a right knee strain...Was transferred to the 60-day injured list on 4/28, when the Reds promoted IF Matt Reynolds to replace injured IF/OF Will Myers...On 6/13 was sent to Louisville on a second rehab stint and made seven apps before he joined the Reds on 7/6...Came off the 60-day injured list on 7/6 and made two appearances on consecutive days before he was optioned to Louisville on 7/8, when RHP Michael Mariot was promoted...His appearance on 7/6 at Wsh was his first for the Reds since 6/13/22 at Ari...Made his third and final appearance on 7/18 vs SF as the 27th player for the scheduled game that followed the completion of the 7/17 suspended game...Was designated for assignment on 8/29, when the Reds promoted IF/OF Alejo Lopez....On 9/1 cleared waivers and was outrighted to Louisville, where he spent the rest of the season...On 11/1 was re-signed to a minor league contract and invited to 2024 Major League spring training camp...In Spring Training did not pitch in an exhibition "A" game because of the back injury.

Beginning 6/17, missed the last 99 games of the season while on the injured list with low back pain...Was transferred from the 15-day to the 60-day IL on 7/5, when RHP Ian Gibaut was claimed off waivers from the Dodgers... When disabled on 6/17, led the team in saves (4) and save chances (7)... Has 4 Major League saves, all this season and including 2 saves of more than 1.0 inning (1.2ip in 4-2 win on 5/19 at Cle, 1.1ip in 3-2 win on 5/29 vs SF)... In the Reds' 6-3 win on Opening Day at Atl recorded his first Major League save... In the 2-1 win on 5/31 at Bos, recorded his fourth save in the Reds' first win at Fenway Park since Game 7 of the 1975 World Series...Six times threw more than 1.0 inning, including a season-high 1.2 innings 3 times (last, 5/22 at Tor)... Once pitched on consecutive days (6/12 at StL & 6/13 at Ari)... Retired the first batter in 10 of his 21 appearances...stranded 11 of 16 inherited runners... Made his first Opening Day roster... Was one of nine pitchers on the Reds' Opening Day roster with less than 1.000 year of service time.

Spent the season at the alternate training site as part of the Reds' 60-player pool roster... Was a member of the 40-player Postseason roster and traveled with the team to the final road trip of the regular season, a three-game series at Min, and to the Wild Card Series at ATL... Did not make an appearance on the active roster during the regular season or Postseason... At 22 years old, went to spring training in Goodyear as the youngest player on the Reds' 40-man roster... Entered the season rated by MLB.com the fourth-best prospect in the organization behind RHP Hunter Greene, LHP Nick Lodolo and IF Jonathan India and the fifth-best prospect as rated by Baseball America.

Was the Reds' Minor League Pitcher of the Year, their Pitcher of the Month for April and July and a Florida State League All-Star...in 26 starts at Class A Daytona and Class AA Pensacola went 10-7, 3.08 (149ip, 146h, 38bb, 134k)...among all Reds minor league pitchers ranked second in ERA, T3rd in wins and fourth in strikeouts.

2017: At Class A Dayton was a Midwest League All-Star...ranked among MWL leaders in opponents' batting average (.222, 3rd), strikeouts (128, 4th) and ERA (3.38, 5th)...following the season his changeup was rated the best in the organization...2016: Following the season was rated by Baseball America (11th) and MLB.com (14th) among the organization's top prospects...his fastball was rated the best in the organization.
