Nike RBI has three (3) divisions of play that affiliated organizations can facilitate play under for their participants. The divisions of play are designed to ensure any organization that currently or wants to provide bat and ball programming can be considered to become an affiliate of Nike RBI. Programming will vary from affiliate to affiliate based on each organization's operating capacity and objectives. Play offered by a Nike RBI affiliate can range from grassroots introductory activities (PLAY BALL), to traditional youth baseball and/or softball league play, to elite development training programs. Affiliated organization¡¯s are not limited to providing only one (1) of the divisions of play as most offer more than one (1). It is highly encouraged for organizations to provide multiple divisions of play to help increase, retain, and develop participants.
PLAY BALL: However you PLAY BALL, PLAY BALL! PLAY BALL programming is geared to demonstrate the ways the game can serve as an outlet for physical activity, fun with friends and learning how to play the sport at its most basic levels. Programming can include but not limited to camps, clinics, sandlot play, co-ed softball, and other creative ways to get kids playing ball
Baseball & Softball League Play: Structured, organized season of games for male and/or female participants ranging anywhere from 5-18-years-old. - Regular season teams for league play can be formed by having pre-established team(s) join the league or individual¡¯s ¡°free agents¡± register and then placed onto teams for the season
Development: Structured programming that is not traditional league play designed to further develop participants skill set on and off the field to assist with preparation for play at the high school, collegiate and/or professional level
- Activities can include but are not limited to camps, clinics, instructional games, workouts, education courses, umpire clinics, etc.
