The Angels, in partnership with Chick-fil-A SoCal, visit multiple branches of the Anaheim Public Library each season to share story time with dozens of young readers! The families in attendance are treated to Angels players or alumni reading childrenĄ¯s books and answering questions about being a part of the team. Members of the Angels Strike Force and even the Chick-fil-A cow are also in attendance to bring gifts to each child, including an Angels hat, bookmarks, and a free Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich.

Play Ball Weekend
Last season, the Angels hosted free youth baseball and softball clinics for 1,000 young athletes at The Great Park Baseball Stadium in Irvine as part of MLB Play Ball Weekend. The clinic included Angels players, alumni, and volunteers who helped the kids through various aspects of the game, including hitting, fielding, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Each participant received an Angels hat, game tickets, and a plastic bat & ball set for at-home play. For more information about the Angels Play Ball Weekend Clinic, visit angels.com/playball.
Christmas In June Toy Drive
Spread holiday cheer early this year at our Christmas in June Toy Drive on Friday, June 9, 2023! Head to the Big Red Hat near Gate 3 from 5pm to 7pm to donate a new, unwrapped toy. The toys will be distributed to children, ages 5-13, during the Angels Baseball Foundation Kids Holiday Party this December. Fans who donate will receive two (2) ticket vouchers for an upcoming Angels game!
Angels 5K & Fun Run, presented by Lexus
The annual Angels 5K & Fun Run, presented by Lexus, will take place on Saturday, July 1, 2023. The Angels welcome fans of all ages to race at their own pace around Angel Stadium! The first 4,500 registered runners receive a commemorative shirt, finisher medal, and more. Previous races have included a Bubble Detour, Kids Zone, and Race Expo. Visit angels.com/5k to learn more.
Mystery Grab Bag
This annual fundraising event gives fans the opportunity to pre-purchase a Mystery Grab Bag, which contains an autographed baseball from an Angels player during the current season! Mystery Grab Bags are available while supplies last, limit of one (1) per person. Proceeds benefit the Angels Baseball Foundation. Clemente Clinic, presented by Nike
In celebration of the legacy of Roberto Clemente, the Angels invite over 250 local kids, ages 6-12, to take the field at Angel Stadium for the annual Clemente Clinic, presented by Nike. Participants spend the day learning about the game of baseball in the outfield, bullpen, and even the Angels dugout! Additionally, all attendees learn more about the clinic's namesake and the philanthropic spirit that he shared within the community. After the event, each child receives lunch and a plastic bat & ball set to take home and continue practicing.
Angels RBI Youth Baseball & Softball Clinics
Angels RBI strives to provide baseball and softball opportunities to youth in the community through leagues and clinics conducted by trained coaches. Hitting, fielding, base running, and throwing are all taught, as well as sportsmanship and life skills. Participants will be guided through this one-of-a-kind experience by professional clinicians. Kids of any skill level, ages 8 to 18, are welcome to participate! For additional information about the Angels RBI program, visit angels.com/rbi. Angels College Scholarship
The Angels College Scholarship was established in 2016 as a four-year renewable gap scholarship for high school seniors. Scholars are nominated and selected based on academic achievements, financial need, community involvement, and the desire to achieve a bachelor's degree.
Funds are applied to primary undergraduate expenses such as tuition, room & board, healthcare and textbooks. Scholars also receive direct access to the Angels Baseball staff as they navigate through college and learn to become financially independent and responsible adults.
Scholars have attended 41 colleges and universities throughout the United States, including Harvard College, Dartmouth College, and Stanford University. Angels Scholars are studying and excelling in fields such as business, nursing, engineering, computer science, and political science.
Since its inception, over 100 scholarships have been awarded.
Angels 8th Grade AVID Scholarship
The Angels 8th Grade AVID Scholarship was founded in 2006 by the Angels Baseball Foundation in conjunction with the Orange County Department of Education and the non-profit organization Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID).
Candidates are selected through an extensive process among 65 middle schools throughout Orange County. Scholarship funds are awarded to five to ten outstanding 8th grade AVID students and are held for them in a trust until they graduate from high school and enter an accredited university. All nominees also receive a laptop as a form of encouragement.
Over the years, the scholarship has been awarded over 100 outstanding 8th grade AVID students.
Adopt-A-School, presented by OC Waste & Recycling
Angels Players and alumni visit local Elementary Schools in Orange County each Spring as part of the Angels Baseball FoundationĄ¯s Adopt-A-School program. Schools chosen in 2022 marked the 14th class of adopted Elementary Schools, each receiving a $2,000 grant from the Angels Baseball Foundation and tickets to a game. Angels players and alumni create a great memory for the students as they share their exciting baseball stories!
JR42 Clinic, presented by Nike
The Angels Baseball Foundation hosts the Angels JR42 Clinic, presented by Nike, each season as part of the Jackie Robinson Day celebration (around April 15th). The clinic provides an outlet for children to play outside and participate in youth baseball and softball events in their hometown. Approximately 75 pre-registered children, ages 8¨C12, attended the event in 2022 with clinicians from the Angels RBI program and other volunteers.
ChildrenĄ¯s Hospital Visits
Throughout the season, Angels players and their wives visit local children's hospitals, including MemorialCare Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach. The players and coaches make special appearances to distribute Angels items, sign autographs, and visit with the children and their loved ones to lift the spirits of the patients and their families.
Military Salute Program, presented by JMG
Throughout the season, the Angels are proud to recognize some of the brave men and women of the United States Military as part of our Military Salute program, presented by JMG. During every Friday and Saturday night home game, a member of the United States Military (active, reserve, veteran, or retired) is recognized for his or her service to our country.

Back 2 School, presented by Angels Baseball Foundation
Each season, the Angels Baseball Foundation welcomes 800 local students to Angel Stadium to provide them the essentials for their return to the classroom. ABF provides new shoes, school supplies, Angels clothing items, and more to each child in attendance. Participants have the opportunity to walk on the warning track and spend time in the dugouts while seeing themselves up on the stadium video screens!
Classroom Connections, presented by COX
The Angels and Cox Communications visit local elementary schools in the Fall to celebrate the start of the school year as part of the Classroom Connections program. Angels players speak to the kids about what itĄ¯s like to be a big-league ballplayer and answer questions from the students and staff. Angels Radio AM830 Host Roger Lodge also joins in to add to the excitement for the students, who all show up in their Angels red!
KidĄ¯s Holiday Party, presented by Angels Baseball Foundation
Each holiday season, the Angels Baseball Foundation and the Angels aim to make the holiday season brighter for many deserving families in Orange County by hosting a Kids Holiday Party. At the end of the night, each child receives a pair of pajamas, a toy, and warm holiday wishes from the Angels. The holiday party is held at Angel Stadium, where the kids are able to meet Angels players and alumni, compete in on-field games, make ornaments and cards to give their families, and play in the snow!
Angels Home Run Donation, presented by EVA Air
EVA Air donates $1,000 to the Angels Baseball Foundation for each home run hit by an Angels player at home during the regular season. EVA has been a proud sponsor of Angels Baseball since 2018 and is excited to extend its support to the Angels Baseball Foundation. The Halos hit 91 home runs at the Big A during the 2024 regular season, putting EVA's donation total at $91,000!
