Kody Michael Hoese…resides in Merrillville, IN with his family …committed to play baseball at Tulane University in New Orleans, La. prior to signing with the Dodgers… While at Tulane he played a couple different positions, his freshmen year playing in 44 games with 32 starts (17 at short shop, 13 at third base and two at DH). Off the field that season, he was named 2016-17 American Athletic Conference All- Academic Team and the Tulane Athletics 3.0 Club for fall 2016. In his Sophomore season, he started all 58 games at third base hit .291 with 65 hits, 13 doubles, five home runs, two triples, 34 RBI, 34 runs, 21 walks, a .435 slugging percentage, . 368 on base percentage... helped Griffith High School in Griffith, Indiana to a Regional Championship in his senior campaign, a two time All-Indiana selection for his efforts as a junior and senior.. received All-Region honors on two occasions, being named to the Time First Team All-Area and the Post tribune First Team All Area.. played summer ball with the Indiana Buffs, receiving the Lance Moore Memorial Award.. rated No. 1 shortstop in Indiana by Prep Baseball Report and Perfect Game.

2021

Made a stop with the AZL Dodgers for ten games before getting promoted to Double-A Tulsa on May 3... Roped eight doubles, matching his 2019 mark, two home runs, and 20 RBI for a .196/.247/.250 slashline across both levels... Played two positions in the field: third base (60 G) and shortstop (1 G)…committed just nine errors in 123 chances over 488.2 innings... Had a 12-game hitting streak from July 21 to August 4, batting .315 (17-for-54) with 11 RBI... Spent the fall with the Glendale Desert Dogs, batting .200/.250/.327 with two home runs and 12 RBI...Batted in all nine positions and was most successful when batting first, batting .333…hit well against lefties, averaging .293 (17-for-58)…had his best month in August, producing a .234 average (11-for-47) with three doubles, four RBI, and three walks…was invited to his first Major League Spring Training.

2019

Split the three months between AZL Dodgers Mota and with the Great Lakes Loons...with the AZL Dodgers Mota, he had 56 at-bats, 20 hits, five doubles, one triple and three homers in 19 games.
