The Class of 2025 inductee began his storied MLB career with the Mariners in 2001 as the first Japanese position player to play in the Majors. Ichiro spent 14 of his 19 MLB seasons here in Seattle, where he leads the franchise in hits, batting average, triples and stolen bases. He¡¯ll join Ken Griffey Jr., Edgar Martinez and Dave Niehaus as Mariners representatives in Cooperstown. Across his professional career in the United States and Japan, Ichiro tallied a remarkable 4,367 hits ¨C the most in baseball history. After Ichiro is officially inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in July, we¡¯re bringing the celebration to T-Mobile Park in August with Ichiro Hall of Fame Weekend!
- Tuesday, Aug. 5 ¨C Thursday, Aug. 7: Before the weekend¡¯s festivities, we¡¯re kicking off the celebration early with a 3-Day Ichiro Hall of Fame Funko POP! giveaway for the first 10,000 fans each day.
- Friday, Aug. 8: On Ichiro Jersey Night, the first 20,000 fans will score a 2004 replica jersey from the night he set the MLB single-season hit record (262 hits).
- Saturday, Aug. 9: During Ichiro Number Retirement Ceremony Night, we¡¯ll honor Ichiro with a special pregame celebration and retire his number (51).
- Sunday, Aug. 10: Capping it off, on Ichiro Hall of Fame Plaque Day, the first 20,000 fans will take home a replica of his Cooperstown plaque.
