Introducing the Vedder Cup
We¡¯re excited to partner with the San Diego Padres and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Eddie Vedder to officially designate our season series as the Vedder Cup. Starting in 2025, the winner of the series will take home the Vedder Cup trophy, designed by the Pearl Jam frontman himself.

As part of the annual series, we¡¯re joining the Padres in support of the Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) Research Partnership, a charity co-founded by Eddie and Jill Vedder dedicated to funding research to discover treatments and cures for EB. Learn more at ebresearch.org.

What if the season series ends tied?
In the result of a tie in the season series between the clubs, the following tiebreakers will be used:
Run Differential ¨C The team with a greater run differential in the season series.
EV (short for Exit Velocity and Eddie Vedder) ¨C If the clubs share an even run differential in the season series, the team with the highest exit velocity recorded on a hit will win the Vedder Cup.
Will there be Vedder Cup merchandise?
Yes! Fans will have the opportunity to buy Vedder Cup merchandise at Team Stores in Seattle and San Diego during both series. Plus, the themed ticket special will include an exclusive Vedder Cup item not available in the Team Store.
