Careers as Sports Executives (CASE)

Careers as Sports Executives (CASE) was founded in 2018 by baseball leaders Theo Epstein, Scott Harris, and Meghan Jones with the goal of creating a comprehensive sports executive program for high school students passionate about sports ¨C and potentially pursuing careers in the industry ¨C but who lack the resources or opportunities to gain the training, experience, and mentorship needed to enter the field.
The CASE Study Program offers students the chance to develop a deep understanding of the sports industry while building valuable professional connections. With courses covering topics like ¡°Sports Analytics & Data,¡± ¡°Sport for Social Good,¡± and ¡°Facilities & Stadium Operations,¡± the Amazin¡¯ Mets Foundation CASE Program provides a broad and insightful curriculum designed to guide students in both their personal and professional growth.
Over the course of two months, CASE participants kick off the program with a special event at Mets Offices, featuring a guided tour led by a Mets employee. They then engage in an 8-session multimedia curriculum, delivered virtually by industry experts, covering a wide range of sports topics. The program concludes with student-led group presentations on one of the curriculum topics, followed by a celebration of their achievements at a Mets game.
In 2025, the Amazin¡¯ Mets Foundation is excited to partner with Bayside High School to bring CASE to 27 students.
