New York Mets introduce Christina King as Chief People Officer
FLUSHING, N.Y., August 8, 2024 - The New York Mets today announced that Christina King has been appointed as the organization¡¯s first Chief People Officer and a member of the executive leadership team. King brings a wealth of human resources experience from past roles at NYCFC, Brooklyn Nets and Endeavor.
As part of this role, King will oversee the Human Resources function including the development of a people strategy for the team, focusing on key areas such as talent development, recruitment, employee benefits, driving workplace culture, employee engagement and DE&I.

King most recently served as the Vice President of Human Resources with New York City FC. With NYCFC, King helped rethink and build out a strategic HR function to create an inclusive environment rooted in values and a strategy on how to bring them to life within the organization. Additionally, she spearheaded the use of data to better understand the desires and needs of employees and how these impact talent attraction and ongoing employee engagement.

Prior to her time with NYCFC, King was the Senior Director of Human Resources with the Brooklyn Nets. In her role, King oversaw the selection and implementation of companywide performance management solution to drive a culture of ongoing feedback and positively influence change.
King is a graduate of UCLA where she earned a bachelor¡¯s in communications and was also a member of the UCLA Women¡¯s NCAA Division I Rowing Team.
