The Padres Volunteer Team presented by National University is a volunteer force created to give back to the greater San Diego area. It calls upon Padres fans to join with our players, alumni and staff to donate their time to San Diego's nonprofit organizations.
Q: Why did the Padres create the Padres Volunteer Team?
The Padres Volunteer Team was created to build awareness of and inspire participation in serving the greater San Diego community. We take a lot of pride in our hometown and want to keep San Diego America's Finest City!
Q: How do I sign up and start volunteering?
Visit our sign-up page and click on "Sign Up Now" to create your volunteer profile. From there you can check out the many volunteer opportunities and start giving back!
Q: How do I find volunteer opportunities?
After completing your volunteer profile on our sign-up page, you will gain access to a calendar of different events in your community. Events vary in time, location and cause, making it easy to register for one that fits your schedule and interest.
Q: How do I sign up for a specific volunteer event?
Sign in to your volunteer profile on our volunteer page, and view the calendar of different volunteer events. Once you decide on an upcoming opportunity, simply click on the "Sign Up" button and you will be registered for that event. You will also receive an email confirming your registration with a summary of all the information you need to know, plus a reminder email a few days prior.
Q: Is the Padres Volunteer Team year-round?
Yes, the Padres Volunteer Team supports non-profit organizations and hosts volunteer opportunities throughout San Diego County year-round!
Q: What are "Hits" that Padres Volunteers earn by giving back with the Padres Volunteer Team?
For every hour volunteered with the Padres Volunteer Team, members earn one "Hit." Once volunteers reach 20 Hits, they can begin to redeem them for awesome Padres rewards like memorabilia, game tickets and exclusive experiences.
Q: How does the redemption process work?
Once you ACCUMULATE enough Hits and YOU'VE picked out your favorite reward, simply email [email protected] with your reward redemption request and we take it from there!
Q: What types of Padres items can I redeem with my earned volunteer "Hits"?
Volunteers can redeem their Hits for awesome Padres rewards like collectibles, game tickets and exclusive experiences that you don't want to miss out on!
Q: I am volunteering to satisfy a quota or mandate. How do I get started and receive a verification letter and summary of my hours once completed?
Please email [email protected] or notify the Padres Volunteer Team contact on-site during the volunteer opportunity to obtain a verification letter.
Q: I am a youth volunteer. What opportunities exist for people under the age of 18?
Minors over the age of 6 may volunteer with adult supervision. All youth volunteers must arrive at the scheduled volunteer opportunity and volunteer with a parent, guardian or adult supervisor that assumes liability for the youth for the duration of the opportunity.
Q: I have a group that would like to volunteer with me. Do they all need to sign up as well?
We require all volunteers to create a volunteer profile and sign up for upcoming opportunities in advance.
Q: I want to volunteer with my family. How do I do that?
Please sign up the family members and register for the opportunities of interest.

Please visit our volunteer page (Sign In button) and click the "Forgot Your Username or Password?" link and follow the prompts. Your new password or username will be emailed to you. You may contact the Padres Volunteer Team to reset it as well.
