Messages are displayed at the end of the 5th inning. For more information, please visit pirates.com/scoreboardmessages or email scoreboardmessages@pirates.com

SUSTAINABILITY

For more than a decade, the Pirates have been committed to sustainability by progressing in the areas of waste diversion, energy efficiency, and water conservation. The Pirates are 7-time winners of MLB’s Green Glove Award for the NL Central. The green glove is an award given to the team with the highest waste diversion rate. In 2024, the Pirates successfully diverted 70% of all waste from the landfill through recycling and composting efforts.

Fans should place all bottles and cans in the recycling receptacles. All other waste will be hand sorted after the game to separate compostable materials and other recyclables. For more information, please visit pirates.com/green.
