Went 4-5 with a 4.21 ERA (41 ER, 87.2 IP), 31 walks and 93 strikeouts in 18 starts...Made his MLB debut on June 3 at Texas...became the second Top 10 Mariners prospect to debut...Earned his first career win June 22 against the New York Yankees...he carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning before giving up a one-out single to Gleyber Torres...became the fifth Mariners pitcher to carry a no-hitter into the sixth inning...Finished the month of August with a 1.69 ERA (3 ER, 16.0 IP) and allowed just four walks with 14 strikeouts in three games started...his 1.69 ERA was the fifth-best in MLB among pitchers who made at least two starts during the month...His 93 strikeouts were fifth-most in Mariners history in a pitcher¡¯s first 18 career starts, trailing only Michael Pineda (113), F¨¦lix Hern¨¢ndez (112), George Kirby (102) and Logan Gilbert (97)...In his first three starts of September he recorded a 2.87 ERA (5 ER, 15.2 IP) with seven walks and 14 strikeouts...opponents were held to a .190 (11x58) batting average and he allowed just three extra-base hits...included in those three starts were two scoreless outings from Sept. 12-18 where he threw 10.2 innings and allowed just seven hits and four walks while striking out 14 batters.

Split time with ACL Mariners, Single-A Modesto and High-A Everett...going 1-4 with a 4.11 ERA (26 ER, 57.0 IP) allowing 22 walks and 84 strikeouts...set a career high of 11 strikeouts against Vancouver pitching 6.0 innings and allowing only two hits.
