Is married...wife’s name is Avery...Graduated from Park Hill (MO) High School...Attended Crowder (MO) College, where he graduated with an associate degree in general studies...Is the nephew of Andy Ashby, who was a MLB pitcher from 1991-2004 with Philadelphia (1991-92, 2000), Colorado (1993), San Diego (1993-99, 2004), Atlanta (2000) and Los Angeles-NL (2001-03)...Enjoys fishing, golf and spending time with friends and family.

2023

Missed the entire season with a left labrum tear...Was placed on the 15-day injured list on 3/29, retroactive to 3/27...Had surgery on 4/7 in Washington, DC, performed by Dr. Wiemi Douoguih...Was transferred to the 60-day injured list on 4/9...Made seven rehab appearances (six starts) between Class-A Wisconsin (3gs), Double-A Biloxi (2g, 1gs) and Triple-A Nashville (2gs) in September.

Was named 2019 Brewers Minor League Pitcher of the Year after going 5-10 with a 3.50 ERA in 24 games (23 starts) between Class-A Wisconsin (11g/10gs) and Class-A Carolina (13gs)…produced 135 strikeouts in 126.0 innings...Was a 2019 Midwest League All-Star as he led the league in strikeouts (80) prior to his promotion to Carolina...Earned Brewers Minor League Pitcher of the Month honors for May 2019 after going 2-1 with a 2.37 ERA in 5 starts at Wisconsin (30.1ip, 36k).

2018
