Television Play-by-Play

Dave Raymond has served as the Rangers¡¯ primary television play-by-play announcer for the past eight seasons. Raymond joined the Rangers in 2016 and worked approximately 45 TV games that season.

The 30-year broadcasting veteran called radio and television games for the Houston Astros from 2006-2012. Raymond also has major league experience on the radio side with the San Francisco Giants and Baltimore Orioles and has been a Minor League broadcaster for the Brockton Rox, Sonoma County Crushers, Charleston RiverDogs, and Iowa Cubs. From 2013-15, he served as a play-by-play and studio host for Major League Baseball Advanced Media.

His other broadcasting credits include college football, basketball, baseball, and softball for ESPN, Comcast, Root Sports, and the CBS Sports Network. Raymond was the pre- and post-game studio host for Houston Texans shows on FSSW in 2013 and 2014. He was also a business reporter for Forbes and Forbes ASAP from 1997-2002.

Television Color Analyst

Former Major League pitcher Mike Bacsik joined the regular rotation of analysts on Rangers¡¯ telecasts in 2024. Bacsik has been a member of the pre- and post-game coverage on Rangers¡¯ telecasts since 2014, while occasionally filling in on the game broadcasts. He also co-hosts the K&C Masterpiece on 105.3 The FAN, the Rangers¡¯ English radio flagship and has worked at the station since 2011.

A native of Dallas, the left-hander was drafted out of Duncanville High School in the 18th round by Cleveland in 1996. He made his big league debut with Cleveland in 2001 and had a MLB career record of 10-13 in 51 games/35 starts with Cleveland (2001), New York Mets (2002-03), Texas (2007), and Washington (2007). Bacsik won a career-high five games with the Nationals in 2007 and surrendered Barry Bonds¡¯ 756th home run that broke Hank Aaron¡¯s all-time career record on August 7 at San Francisco. Bacsik¡¯s cap from that game is on display at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown. He retired in 2008 but returned to pitch for the Independent Fort Worth Cats in 2011.

Bacsik has also served as a college baseball analyst on Fox Sports Southwest, Fox College Sports, and The Mountain. His father, Mike Sr., was a right-handed pitcher for the Rangers and Twins from 1975-80. Mike and his wife, Dr. Sue Bacsik, have three children, Mary Grace (20), Jake (17), and Cal (15), and reside in Dallas.

Television Color Analyst

David Murphy has been a member of the Rangers¡¯ television broadcast team since 2017, including responsibilities as an in-game analyst since 2019. In addition, Murphy also has experience as an analyst on select television broadcasts of Frisco RoughRiders home games.

Murphy retired as a player after the 2015 season with a .274 career average and 104 home runs in 1,100 MLB games with Boston (2006-07), Texas (2007-13), Cleveland (2014-15), and the Los Angeles Angels (2015). He appeared in over 100 games for six straight seasons for the Rangers from 2008-13 with at least 11 home runs each year.

The left-handed batter posted career highs with 74 RBI in 2008, 17 homers in 2009, and a .304 batting average in 2012. He was the Rangers¡¯ 2007 Rookie of the Year and the recipient of the 2011 Harold McKinney Good Guy Award. Murphy was also selected to the Rangers Globe Life Park All-Time Team in September 2019.

The Houston native graduated from Klein High School in Spring, TX and then played three years at Baylor University before being selected by Boston in the first round of the 2003 Major League Draft. He made his big league debut with the Red Sox in September 2006 before being traded to the Rangers at the trade deadline in July 2007.

David and his wife Andrea have four children and live in Southlake.

Field Reporter

Stickells joins the Rangers broadcast team as a reporter following a three-year stint at NESN beginning in October 2021. Her roles at NESN included serving as the primary sideline reporter for Worcester Red Sox (AAA) broadcasts, hosting and producing the ¡°Respect Her Game¡± podcast, providing rinkside reporting for the Hockey East Conference Game of the Week, and co-hosting the ¡°Boston Has Entered The Chat¡± daily video podcast.

During her tenure at NESN, Stickells also was a sideline reporter and digital host for University of Massachusetts radio broadcasts on WHMP and Boston University men¡¯s hockey and women¡¯s basketball broadcasts on ESPN+. Her first post-graduate position in sports journalism was as a sports reporter for the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, a daily newspaper in Fairbanks, Alaska, where she covered Division I hockey at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and won the Alaska Press Club¡¯s Best Sports Reporting Award for her coverage of sled dog racing.

The Bishop, Calif. native graduated from Stanford University in 2018 with a degree in communications and was a two-time National Champion on the school¡¯s lightweight rowing team. Stickells also earned a master¡¯s degree in journalism from Boston University in 2021.

Field Reporter

A familiar face in Texas Rangers telecasts, Emily Jones has contributed to Rangers television broadcasts as a field reporter since 2007. Jones also makes appearances on behalf of the club and undertakes assignments for MLB Network and MLB.com.

Jones worked full-time for FOX Sports Southwest on a variety of the network¡¯s programming from 2004 through October 2013. She previously was a news reporter and sports director at KCBD-TV in Lubbock. She is a graduate of Texas Tech University.

She is the author of two children¡¯s books ¡ª A Place for Everyone (2017) and Something Special in the Stands (2018) ¡ª and co-hosts The Mom Game podcast. Jones is a member of the Board of Directors for the Do It For Durrett Foundation.

Emily and her husband, Mike McCoy, have two children, Henry and Hattie, and reside in Fort Worth.

Pre & Post-Game Analyst

A 15-year MLB veteran, Elvis Andrus is entering his first season as a member of the Texas Rangers television broadcast team as a Pre & Post-Game Host/Radio & Television Play-By-Play.

Andrus, 36, compiled a career slash line of .269/.325/.370/.695 (2091-7772) with 102 home runs, 51 triples, 380 doubles, and 775 RBI in 2059 games with Texas (2009-20), Oakland (2021-22), and Chicago-AL (2022-23). The shortstop, who spent 12 of his 15 seasons with the Rangers, remains the club¡¯s all-time leader in stolen bases (305), ranks second in games (1652), at bats (6,366), and triples (48), and is third in runs (893) and hits (1,743). Andrus is also the Rangers¡¯ all-time postseason leader in games (42), at bats (173), hits (46), and stolen bases (9) with a .266 career average that included a .294 (20-68) figure in 16 playoff games in 2010.

The two-time American League All-Star (2010 and 2012) was the Rangers¡¯ Rookie of the Year in 2009 and the club¡¯s Player of the Year in 2017, when he set career bests with 100 runs, 191 hits, 44 doubles, 20 homers, and 88 RBI. Appearing exclusively at shortstop with Texas, Andrus played in 145 or more games in ten of 11 seasons from 2009-19.

Andrus was the Rangers¡¯ 2019 nominee for MLB¡¯s Roberto Clemente Award as well as the winner of the Rangers¡¯ 2014 Jim Sundberg Community Achievement Award for his various off-the-field contributions, including participation in several hospital visits and toy drives throughout his tenure in Arlington. He also claimed the 2017 Texas Rangers Heart and Hustle Award from the MLB Players Alumni Association and the 2016 Richard Durrett Hardest Working Ranger Award from the DFW Chapter of the BBWAA.

Andrus, a native of Maracay, Venezuela, was originally signed as an international free agent by the Atlanta Braves in January 2005 and was acquired by Texas via trade in July 2007. He made his big league debut as a 20-year-old for the Rangers on Opening Day 2009.

Elvis and his wife, Cori, have three children: Elvis, Lucia, and Michael.

Radio Play-by-Play/Color

The 2014 recipient of the Ford C. Frick Award, Eric Nadel is entering his 31st year as the lead voice on the Texas Rangers radio broadcasts. It will be his 47th year broadcasting Rangers baseball, the longest tenure of any announcer in the history of the franchise and the third longest continuous current stint with one team among the 30 Major League clubs, second in the American League to Kansas City¡¯s Denny Matthews (56th year in 2024).

Nadel was the first primary voice of the Rangers to be honored with the Frick Award, which was first presented in 1978. He was a finalist for the 2011, 2012, and 2013 Frick Awards. Nadel was honored at the Hall of Fame¡¯s Awards Presentation on July 26, 2014 in Cooperstown, New York, along with 2014 J.G. Taylor Spink Award winner Roger Angell and Buck O¡¯Neil Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Joe Garagiola.

Nadel is an eight-time selection of the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association Texas Sportscaster of the Year Award (1999, 2001, 2002, 2006, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2015) and was twice honored by the Associated Press for best play-by-play in Texas. He was inducted as the 15th member of the Texas Rangers Baseball Hall of Fame on August 11, 2012.

Nadel joined the Rangers in 1979 and called games on television and radio in his first three seasons. Beginning in 1982, he began a 13-year run with Mark Holtz as the radio team on WBAP while returning to

the television booth for one year in 1984. Nadel became the team¡¯s lead radio voice on KRLD Radio when Holtz moved to television in 1995.

Nadel is a graduate of Brown University, where he called football and hockey on the college radio station. He had Minor League hockey play-by-play stints in Muskegon, MI, Oklahoma City, Dallas, and Fort Worth, and was also the radio voice of the Dallas Diamonds of the Women¡¯s Professional Basketball League. Nadel spent several off-seasons learning Spanish and has taken part in Spanish game broadcasts in numerous Latin American countries.

Eric is very active in the local music scene, annually presenting a Birthday Benefit Concert at Dallas¡¯ Kessler Theater. He also stages a monthly concert series at Dallas¡¯ Cafe Momentum, for which he is the Music Director. He is very involved in numerous mental health causes and has served as a spokesman for the national Campaign to Change Direction and for Texas State of Mind. Eric is a longtime animal activist and raised the funds for the construction of the first leash-free dog park in North Texas at Mockingbird Point in Dallas.

In January 2023, he received the Shalom Award for his lifetime community efforts from the Temple Shalom Brotherhood in Dallas.

A 1991 inductee in the Texas Baseball Hall of Fame, Nadel and his wife, Jeannie, reside in Dallas and Durango, CO with their dog, Kirby, a terrier mix.

Radio Play-by-Play/Color

Matt Hicks is entering his 13th full season in the Texas Rangers radio booth after joining the broadcasts in June 2012. The only other broadcasters to work at least ten seasons on Rangers¡¯ English radio games are Eric Nadel (47th year in 2025) and the late Mark Holtz (13).

Hicks came to the Rangers from the Corpus Christi Hooks, the Houston Astros Texas League affiliate, where he had served as Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations since 2005. In that role, he was the primary play-by-play voice on all radio broadcasts and called Hooks television games on Fox Sports Southwest¡¯s Astros Minor League Game of the Week from 2007-09.

Hicks has 36 years of professional baseball play-by-play experience, making stops with Frederick of the Carolina League from 1989-94 and El Paso of the Texas League from 1995-2004 before becoming an inaugural employee at Corpus Christi. He is a former winner of the Radio Broadcaster of the Year Award in El Paso and in 2016 was inducted into the El Paso Baseball Hall of Fame.

Pre & Post-Game Host, Radio Play-by-Play/Color, Television Play-by-Play

Jared Sandler is entering his 12th season as a member of the broadcast team for the Texas Rangers Radio Network. First appearing as a fill-in host for the pre- and post-game shows in 2014, he has been the programs¡¯ primary host since 2015 while assuming more play-by-play responsibilities in the last several years. He also served as an announcer for 10 games on television in 2024.

In addition to his duties with the Rangers, Jared also fulfills various on-air responsibilities with the team¡¯s flagship, 105.3 The FAN, joining the station in March 2015. He has served as the television voice of the Frisco RoughRiders ¨C the Rangers¡¯ Texas League affiliate ¨C and the Texas Legends of the NBA¡¯s G League. A native of Dallas, Sandler previously worked for 103.3 FM ESPN as an on-air host. Prior to his return to DFW, he spent two years with ESPN 100.9 FM/Great Lakes Loons (Midwest League), calling play-by-play for baseball, basketball, and football, as well as hosting the region¡¯s highest-rated afternoon drive sports talk show.

A graduate of the University of Southern California (USC) in 2011, Sandler earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a minor in Entrepreneurial Studies. While at USC, in addition to directing the student-led sports radio station and working with ESPN 710 in Los Angeles, Jared also was a member of the school¡¯s baseball program, serving as a practice player and aiding in baseball operations.

In December 2024, Sandler held the eighth annual Swinging For A Cause event to benefit the Sandlot Children¡¯s Charity. Founded in 2017, the Sandlot Children¡¯s Charity provides financial assistance for kids with physical and intellectual disabilities, specifically for those who are in pursuit of athletic opportunities.

Jared and his wife Emily reside in Dallas.

Spanish Radio Play-by-Play

Eleno Ornelas is in his 25th season as a radio broadcaster for all Rangers Spanish, his 22nd as the lead play-by-play announcer. He has the second longest tenure of any radio broadcaster in Rangers¡¯ history behind Eric Nadel (46th season in 2024).

He was presented with the 2014 Golden Microphone Award from the National Association of Mexico Broadcasters, the organization¡¯s highest award. Ornelas began his broadcasting career at KRVA Radio in Dallas in 1993 before moving to KESS-AM as a full-time sports announcer in 1998. He joined the Rangers organization as a full-time employee in 2003. In addition to the Rangers, Ornelas has done radio play-by-play for the Dallas Mavericks and covered the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Burn during his tenure with KESS. He currently does Spanish radio broadcasts for Oklahoma City Thunder home games.

Ornelas is a native of Juarez, Mexico and was a professional baseball announcer in his home country before coming to Texas. He has an extensive background as an administrator in the Mexican amateur baseball leagues in North Texas, serving as President of the Dallas League from 1993-98.

Spanish Radio Color

Jose Guzman is in his 16th year over two different stints as the lead Spanish radio analyst for Rangers¡¯ home games and occasional play-by-play announcer. The former major league pitcher was originally in that role from 2004-09 before rejoining the broadcast team in 2015. Guzman also provided analysis on the Rangers Spanish home television broadcasts from 2010-13. In addition to his broadcast work, Guzman makes appearances in the community on behalf of the Rangers.

Guzman compiled an 80-74 record in 193 career appearances with the Rangers and Cubs from 1985-93. He won 11 or more games four times with Texas and was the team¡¯s Pitcher of the Year and A.L. Comeback Player of the Year in 1991. Shoulder injuries plagued him for much of his career, although he came out of retirement to pitch for the Independent Fort Worth Cats in 2001 and 2002.

In January 2020, Guzman was inducted into Latin American International Sports Hall of Fame in Laredo, Texas.
