Senior Vice President, Communications
Rich Rice was promoted to Senior Vice President, Communications in January 2025 after previously serving as Vice President, Communications. In his role, Rice is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of the Texas Rangers Communications and Photography departments.
This is his 32nd season working in Major League Baseball, his 25th in a full-time club communications position. Rice has spent 22 of the last 24 seasons in the Rangers Communications Department, serving roles for six of the nine postseason teams in franchise history as well as each of the club¡¯s three World Series appearances. He was selected by his peers as the recipient of MLB¡¯s 2023 Robert O. Fishel Award for Public Relations Excellence.
A native of Blue Springs, Mo., Rice served internships with the Chicago Cubs, Baseball Hall of Fame, and the University of Missouri-Kansas City prior to his first stint with the Rangers. He graduated with a BBA from UMKC in 1999 and earned a master¡¯s of sports administration from Ohio University in 2000. Rice also served as a Kansas City Royals clubhouse attendant/batboy from 1994-1999.
Rice and his wife, Jennifer, reside in Lantana with daughter Madeline (16) and son Brooks (13).
