Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Robert Fountain begins his fourth full season with the Rangers, his first full campaign as Senior Vice President of Human Resources after a promotion in August 2024. This will be his 15th year serving in a baseball position.
In his current role, Robert leads the HR team responsible for people strategy, employee engagement, benefits administration, compensation, risk management, and employee life cycle management, including recruiting and onboarding/offboarding of staff.
He originally joined the Texas Rangers in June 2021 as a member of the legal department following a decade-long tenure at Minor League Baseball and a 10-month stint at the United Soccer League. As Senior Corporate Counsel for the Rangers, Robert was responsible for providing legal advice on a broad range of legal matters affecting both the baseball club and its ballpark, including commercial contracts (e.g., sponsorship, venue use, and vendor agreements), intellectual property topics, Dominican legal matters, immigration issues, and more.
When he is not at the ballpark, Robert can often be found coaching youth sports in Southlake, Texas with his wife and four children.
