Coors Field Reusable Cup Pilot with r.World

Partnering with r.World, the Colorado Rockies introduced reusable cups throughout Club Level as part of a pilot during August and September of the 2024 season. As the largest pilot of its kind in Major League Baseball to date, it successfully reduced waste while educating fans on the importance of reuse.
The cups are delivered to Coors Field before each homestand, where they are then used for cocktails, beer, fountain drinks and more. When they are empty, fans return them to the designated reuse bins. They are then further sorted and delivered to a dedicated reuse waste bin behind the stadium. Then, the cups are picked up and cleaned at a warehouse, where they are then ready to be used again and again. Reuse is one of the most effective ways to reduce the carbon footprint of concessions in large venues.
