Colorado Rockies Baseball Club Foundation

The Colorado Rockies Baseball Club Foundation is the charitable arm of the organization tasked with the mission to support underprivileged and at-risk youth through programs for youth baseball and softball, education, literacy, drug and alcohol-abuse awareness and prevention. Since 1993, the CRBC Foundation has granted over $30 million to agencies, organizations and programs that support the foundation's mission. In addition, the Rockies take pride in hosting members of the community at Coors Field, having donated close to two million tickets to numerous non-profit organizations throughout the region.

There are now many ways for fans to donate to the Rockies Foundation:

• 50/50 Raffle - Fans can purchase raffle tickets at every Rockies game with the chance to win money while a portion of the proceeds also go to the Rockies Foundation (mobile and online options coming soon).
• Round Up for Charity - Fans can round up their total at Coors Field concession/merchandise stands and the spare change will go to the Rockies Foundation.
• Online Ticket Purchases - When fans purchase tickets at Rockies.com, they have the opportunity to add a donation amount of their choosing to the Rockies Foundation.
• June 27 Rockies Charity Night with AT&T SportsNet - The Thursday, June 27 game vs. the LA Dodgers will be dedicated to raising funds for the Rockies Foundation. Fans will be able to purchase backpacks filled with exclusive Rockies items, including player autographs.
• Coors Field Tours - 100% of every tour ticket sold goes directly to the Rockies Foundation.
• Rockies 5K Home Run for Charity - This annual run/walk around Lower Downtown and ending with a lap around the Coors Field warning track takes place on June 9, 2019. Net proceeds go to the Rockies Foundation, which has donated a portion of the proceeds to organizations such as Volunteers of American, Denver's Road Home, the Denver Rescue Mission and Food Bank of the Rockies.
• Rockies License Plates - Rockies signature license plates are available at your Colorado DMV and the $52.80 one-time donation goes to the Rockies Foundation.

Beginning Opening Day 2018 and running at all Rockies home games throughout the season, the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club Foundation hosted the Metropolitan State University of Denver's Alumni Association in their 50/50 Raffle. This program is the newest addition to the Colorado Rockies community initiatives and it will continue for the 2019 season, by popular demand. During each Rockies home game, volunteers sell 50/50 raffle tickets throughout Coors Field, through the seventh inning. The winning ticket is drawn during the eighth inning and one lucky fan goes home with half of the jackpot for that game.

The Colorado Rockies Youth Baseball Initiative encompasses a wide range of programs designed to inspire and cultivate a love of baseball among local youth. These programs place an emphasis on health and activity through baseball, and give opportunities for children to work with and learn from professional Rockies coaches and players. Programs that are under the initiative cater to a wide range of ages, socio-economic circumstances and physical abilities. Some of these programs have sprung from long-standing local relationships.

In 2007, the Rockies adopted the Boys & Girls Clubs Owen Branch, located in West Denver, and have since played host to club members at annual baseball skills clinics and other events. In 2018, over 120 participants ages 8-13 from Boys & Girls clubs attended a basic skills clinic, where they engaged with Rockies players and coaches at various skills stations.

The Rockies have also partnered with Colorado-based National Sports Center for the Disabled for over 10 years, and in that time have provided interactive baseball-themed experiences to young children and teens with disabilities. More than 150 participants took part in the clinic in 2018, which focused on adapted baseball skills stations run by Rockies staff volunteers.

And since 2001, the Rockies have hosted High School Baseball Games at Coors Field in March and April. For participating schools, these games provide a lucrative fundraising opportunity through ticket sales that has averaged $25,000-$35,000, which has been used to benefit their school's athletic program, facilities, equipment or whatever they choose. In 2018, the Rockies hosted 14 games at Coors Field.

The Rockies are proud participants in Major League Baseball's RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) Program. Established in 1989, RBI's mission is to assist financially disadvantaged families and communities in engaging youth in physical and mental activity by offering them an opportunity to play in summer baseball and softball leagues at no cost to their families. The Rockies run a total of 39 teams within three divisions: seniors (ages 16-18) and juniors (ages 13-15) baseball, and softball (18 and under). In 2018, the program touched 20 area schools in Aurora, Commerce City, Denver, Lakewood and Thornton. The season runs from late May through mid-July and culminates with a final tournament. The Greater Denver RBI Program has over 600 participants each year.

The "Make an Impact" program is a character education initiative that complements preexisting PBS (Positive Behavior Support) programs by holding an on-site "Rockies School Rally." This school-wide assembly is designed to entertain students while teaching them the importance of staying in school, refusing drugs and getting involved within their own communities. The 45-minute interactive program is designed for grades K-6 and features recorded player messages as well as a visit from Rockies mascot Dinger. Since 2006, the Make an Impact assembly program has been presented at over 340 schools and has reached close to 155,000 students.

The Rockies offer year-round guided tours of Coors Field, giving fans the chance to see what occurs behind the scenes at one of the premier venues in all of American sports. Over 16,000 people took a tour of Coors Field in 2018, raising over $100,000 for the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club Foundation.

The Care & Share Program is an initiative that gives children living with serious illnesses the opportunity to be special guests at Coors Field prior to and during a Rockies home game. Participants in the program are invited to spend time on the field during batting practice, where they are able to meet and receive autographs from Rockies players. Participants are selected through a collaboration with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Children's Hospital Colorado.

Each season, many wives and girlfriends of Rockies players give back to the Colorado community by supporting and participating in various fundraising and awareness programs, as proud representatives of the Rockies organization.

Located on the Club Level behind home plate at Coors Field, the Hall of History examines moments and milestones in the history of the Colorado Rockies through a series of artifacts on display for fans to peruse during their ballpark visit. The Hall of History is accessible on game days to fans with Club or Suite Level tickets, and to patrons of Coors Field tours.

In 2018 several new items were added to the collection celebrating classic and historic moments from the season, such as Charlie Blackmon's cycle, German Marquez's immaculate inning, Adam Ottavino's strikeout record, Trevor Story's MLB leading 505' home run, the return of Rockies legend Matt Holliday, clinching a second consecutive playoff berth and Tony Wolters' game winning RBI against the Chicago Cubs in the Wild Card game. Items from these moments will be displayed throughout the season, along with artifacts from throughout Rockies history and the 2019 campaign.

The Colorado Rockies Baseball Club Foundation is committed to community outreach throughout the year in the Rocky Mountain Region, and that commitment extends to their home away from home during the spring. With the move to the spectacular Salt River Fields at Talking Stick complex in 2011, the Rockies have the unique opportunity to collaborate with the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community on several projects with organizations that directly contribute to the quality of life for all people in the community.

Of particular interest to the Rockies are projects that allow baseball to positively impact the lives of children who are at risk. Efforts to prevent substance abuse, increase literacy and educational achievement and promote good citizenship among community youth are crucial to the Rockies' charitable mission.

With that interest as a guide, the Rockies have hosted and participated in several Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community events. Each year since they relocated to Scottsdale, the Rockies have brought their "Make an Impact" school program to Salt River Elementary School. This character education program is designed to teach the students that staying in school, refusing drugs, getting involved and being respectful are traits that will lead to a positively impactful life. In addition, Rockies players have attended a Community Senior Breakfast, where they have signed autographs, taken photos and enjoyed conversations with many of the senior members of the community. The club has also sponsored an equipment drive during Spring Training to bring baseball equipment to those in need within the community.

The Colorado Rockies are proud to share in the cultural diversity and the rich history, culture and artistic values of the Pima and Maricopa tribes. The organization looks forward to many years of shared experiences and events that can make a difference in the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.

The Colorado Rockies partner with Major League Baseball umpires to offer memorable baseball game experiences for children awaiting adoption and at-risk youth in mentoring programs. Children receive a VIP experience including great seats to see the Rockies at Coors Field, a goody bag of 'all things baseball', and the unique opportunity to step onto the field for a souvenir baseball and photo.
