
KANSAS CITY 每 After a two-hour-plus rain delay, Wednesday night*s game between the Rockies and Royals at Kauffman Stadium was postponed and will be played as the second game of a traditional doubleheader on Thursday beginning at 1:10 p.m. CT.
Fans holding game or parking tickets for Wednesday's game will receive a credit on their account for the value of their tickets. This credit will be applicable toward 2025 regular-season ticket plans, mini-plans, single-game tickets, group tickets or nightly suite rentals.

Fans who held tickets for Wednesday's game must redeem their credit for a new ticket purchase if they wish to attend Thursday's game. Fans with tickets for the originally scheduled Thursday game can attend both games of the doubleheader and will have the same seat for both games.

Dark clouds and storms were rolling in around the Kansas City area throughout Wednesday night. It started raining around 8:45 p.m. CT, with the teams making the decision to play a doubleheader on Thursday shortly after.
The Royals will have lefty Cole Ragans start Game 1 on Thursday, as originally scheduled for the series finale, and then right-hander Michael Lorenzen 每 who was supposed to start Wednesday night 每 is scheduled to start Game 2. The Rockies will counter with Germ芍n M芍rquez -- the originally scheduled Wednesday night starter -- in the opener and top prospect Chase Dollander in the nightcap.
Thursday will mark the Rockies* second doubleheader in five days after they split with the Nationals on Sunday.
