Home Uniforms
Featuring a contemporized ※Twins§ script recalling beloved elements of yesteryear, the return of a piping pattern first popularized by the Rod Carew-era clubs and rekindled with Joe Mauer*s 2009 American League Most Valuable Player campaign, and the introduction of the Twins* exclusive new font 每 all presented in a crisp and dynamic aesthetic celebrating the club*s modernized red, white and navy-blue palette 每 the new home uniform is a passionate, innovative and bold embodiment of baseball and community in Twins Territory.
Twins Script
Paying homage to the original ※Twins§ script, the distinctive ※T§ is separated from the connected, cursive ※w-i-n-s,§ while 每 in keeping with club tradition first introduced prior to the World Championship season of 1987 每 the ※win§ is underlined. The ※Twins§ script returns to red, as it was on the primary home uniform from 1972-2014.
Player Number (front)
The player*s number, crafted in the club*s exclusive new font, returns to the front of the home uniform, but 每 in a first for the home whites 每 it appears in navy to offset the red of the ※Twins§ script in a vivid juxtaposition of all three primary colors.
Player Name and Number (back)
Like the front, the player*s name and number 每 delivered in the Twins* exclusive new font 每 are presented in offsetting navy (name) and red (number) upon the uniform*s crisp white.
Sleeve Emblem
Linking to the fabled mark of Minnie & Paul within the state outline, the left sleeve features a navy Minnesota silhouette adorned with a red North Star, representing the location of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Lettering (overall)
For the first time in Twins history, no elements of the home uniform are outlined in a secondary color or accentuated by a drop shadow. This key component of the system*s clean, refined and modern design allows for key visuals 每 the ※Twins§ script, player name and number, and sleeve emblem 每 to vibrantly resonate within the red, white and navy palette.
Piping
First seen on Rod Carew en route to his 1972 American League batting title and reintroduced on a throwback worn by Joe Mauer during his 2009 AL Most Valuable Player campaign, the sleeve and pant piping is a tri-color pattern of navy, white and red stripes.
TC Hat
The first and most beloved professional sports mark in Minnesota, the interlocking white ※T§ and red ※C§ is ubiquitous with community and civic pride 每 a symbol not just of the Twins, but of our state. Staying true to the historical integrity of the hand-drawn mark that debuted in 1961, the refined look will carry the iconic ※TC§ forward for the next sixty years and beyond.
