DaikinĄ¯s Most Valuable STEAM Scholarship
The Astros Foundation is proud to announce the DaikinĄ¯s Most Valuable STEAM Scholarship program, which will award $100,000 to Houston area high school seniors in the 2025 graduating class.
Scholarship Details
- Application Period: March 3 ¨C April 14, 2025
- Eligibility:
- Graduating high school seniors that will be attending a higher education institution upon graduation.
- Permanent address in one of the following Texas counties:
- Austin
- Brazoria
- Chambers
- Fort Bend
- Galveston
- Harris
- Liberty
- Montgomery
- San Jacinto
- Walker
- Waller
- Wharton
- Students are required to provide a 300-word essay, 2 letters of recommendation, and proof of acceptance.
- If selected as a semifinalist, a personal interview will be conducted with the DaikinĄ¯s Most Valuable STEAM Scholarship program committee.
- Scholarship funds awarded to winners must be used for education, such as tuition and related fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for courses at an accredited educational institution.
- Winners will be notified via email and announced at a Houston Astros game. They will be invited to a pre-game reception, where they will be presented with a scholarship certificate.
