HOUSTON, Texas 每 The Astros begin the 2025 Major League Baseball season on Thursday, March 27 at 3:10 p.m. CT against the New York Mets at Daikin Park. Opening Day is the first game in a six-game homestand to begin the season, with three against the Mets, March 27 每 29 and three against the San Francisco Giants, March 31 每 April 2.

Several promotional items and events highlight the first homestand of the season, including fan-favorites like Friday Night Fireworks presented by ConocoPhillips.

In 2025, the Astros will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Houston＊s Downtown Ballpark, but Thursday＊s Opening Day will mark the first time a game is played in the newly-named Daikin Park, after the Astros and Daikin Comfort Technologies North America, Inc (Daikin) announced in November 2024 a 15-year, exclusive naming-rights partnership that brands the home of the Astros as Daikin Park.
Thursday, March 27 每 Astros vs. New York Mets: 3:10 p.m.
Game one of the 2025 regular season against the Mets at 3:10 p.m. will be televised on Space City Home Network with the English radio broadcast on KBME 790 AM and the local Spanish broadcast on TUDN 93.3 FM.
All fans in attendance will receive a 2025 Schedule Magnet, presented by United Airlines.
The popular Opening Day Street Fest, presented by Budweiser will take place from 12 p.m. 每 3 p.m. Festivities include live music, face painters and caricature artists, photo booths, inflatables, balloon displays, giveaways, food trucks and more. A game ticket is required to enter Opening Day Street Fest. Fans are encouraged to get to their seats early to take in the special Opening Day pregame festivities.
As a part of pregame ceremonies, to honor 25 years of the ballpark where the Astros call home, the team will reveal a new-look Phillips 66 Home Run Train that rests on the tracks in the outfield.
The National Anthem will be sung by The Wilder Blue, a Texas five-piece band known for their rock-influenced country music with folk-style of storytelling. Our nation＊s colors will be presented by Joint Services Color Guard. Continuing the theme of celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Downtown Houston ballpark, the ceremonial first pitch will be thrown out by Larry Dieker, the manager of the 2000 Astros who were the inaugural team of Daikin Park (or: of the then, brand-new downtown ballpark). The Play Ball call will be made by former Astro player Jos谷 Cruz, also a member of the Astros coaching staff during the 2000 season whose number 25 is retired by the team after spending 13 years of his playing career in Houston.
Friday, March 28 每 Astros vs. New York Mets: 7:10 p.m.
Game two of the series with the Mets is set for 7:10 p.m. CT on Friday. The game will be broadcast on Apple TV+ with the English radio broadcast on KBME 790 AM and the local Spanish broadcast on TUDN 93.3 FM.
10,000 fans are set to receive an Astros Clear Clutch, presented by Houston Methodist.
With the Texas Children＊s Houston Open going on at Memorial Park Golf Course March 27-30, Tony Finau, the winner of the 2022 Houston Open and currently ranked 32nd in the PGA TOUR, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
In a pregame ceremony, Jose Altuve will be honored for his seventh Silver Slugger Award from the 2024 season, which is tied for the most by a second baseman in MLB history.
Pregame Happy Hour, presented by Budweiser, will take place from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Michelob Ultra Bar, where fans can enjoy $5 Ultra Drafts, a live DJ and amazing views.
Friday Night Fireworks presented by ConocoPhillips are set for postgame, featuring the musical theme 25 Years of Astros Player Walkup Music to represent the year-long celebration of the anniversary of the Houston＊s ballpark. Fireworks are subject to weather. In the event a show must be cancelled due to weather, refunds will not be granted.
Saturday, March 30 每 Astros vs. New York Mets: 6:15 p.m.

After an off day on Sunday, the homestand continues with game one against the Giants on Monday at 7:10 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on Space City Home Network with the English radio broadcast on KBME 790 AM and the local Spanish broadcast on TUDN 93.3 FM.
The Astros will celebrate their first Space City Monday of 2025 against the Giants. The team will debut the new Nike City Connect 2.0 uniforms that were released last week to rave reviews. The fourth annual Autism Awareness Night is set for Tuesday, April 1. This night features a special pregame ceremony and unique activations around the ballpark, including lower PA volume in sections 156, 305 and 405. There is also a sensory room located in Champions Pavilion by section 256. Fans can purchase a special Autism Awareness Night Short Sleeve Hoodie ticket add-on package for just $35. The add-on features a grey hoodie with orange, white, and blue puzzle pieces referencing the Houston Astros. There will also be a special first pitch in honor of Autism Awareness night.
