Vice President, Sponsorship
Matt Richardson originally joined the Astros in June 2014 spending 5 years in the Corporate Partnership development team. After a 2-year stint in Los Angeles with AEG Global Partnerships, he returned to the Astros organization serving as the Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships Sales. In his current role as Vice President, Corporate Partnerships, Matt leads the business development and retention efforts with a focus on driving revenue growth across the Astros portfolio and developing strategic community engagement programs. Over his 8 years with the Astros, he¡¯s played an integral role in developing successful sponsorship marketing campaigns that connect partners to the Astros fan experience in meaningful ways.
Prior to joining the Astros, Matt worked in partnership marketing in various roles and industries such as College Athletics (University of Kansas & Valero Alamo Bowl) to Six Flags Entertainment Group.
Matt was raised in Parsons, KS and is a proud graduate of the University of Kansas. He and his wife, Nicole, have one baby girl and resides in West Houston. When not at Daikin Park, he spends much of his time with family, walking his 2 retrievers, traveling around the world and visiting family and friends.
