Here are the Cardinals' Spring Breakout rosters
JUPITER, Fla. -- An organization that has leaned heavily on its ¡°draft and develop¡± strategy for decades, the Cardinals are confident that their Minor League system can continue to pump out the kind of talent that will serve as the club¡¯s lifeblood.
The Cardinals' dedication to their farm system can be seen in how they are treating MLB¡¯s inaugural Spring Breakout, a showcase of the game¡¯s best young talent that will be held in Florida and Arizona from March 14-17. The Cardinals are one of five MLB teams -- the D-backs, Padres, Rockies and Mariners are the others -- having all of its top 10 prospects compete.
In addition to their three MLB Pipeline Top 100 prospects -- shortstop Masyn Winn and right-handed pitchers Tink Hence and Tekoah Roby -- the Cardinals¡¯ fastest player and their fastest-rising prospect, center fielder Victor Scott II, is slated to appear in Spring Breakout.

The top talent from the Cardinals will face the Marlins' young stars on March 15 at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, ahead of the two MLB clubs squaring off later that night. On March 17, Cardinals and Astros prospects will face off in Jupiter.
Of MLB Pipeline¡¯s Top 100 players, 72 are committed to play in the Spring Breakout. The top three overall prospects -- Orioles shortstop Jackson Holliday, Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio and Pirates right-handed pitcher Paul Skenes -- are slated to participate, as are 15 of the top 20 prospects.
The Cubs and Padres have the most Top 100 prospects participating, with five each. The D-backs have their top 16 prospects playing, while the Padres have their top 14 prospects committed. The Royals and Brewers have the most Top 30 prospects slated to participate, with 24 each.
Hence, the Cardinals' No. 2 prospect (No. 43 overall) is excited about MLB¡¯s initiative to showcase and promote its best young talent.
¡°I really feel like that¡¯s a great idea, putting some of the spotlight on the young guys who are coming up while the big league guys are still here,¡± said Hence. ¡°I feel like it¡¯s a great opportunity for guys to make their name known and let the fans know what type of player they are. I feel like it¡¯s really a beautiful idea to hold the event during Spring Training.¡±
