Here are the Blue Jays' 2025 Top 30 prospects
DUNEDIN, Fla. -- There¡¯s never been a better time for the Blue Jays¡¯ farm system to turn things around.
With so much uncertainty facing this organization beyond 2025, the final year of Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette¡¯s contracts, the Blue Jays need to start developing their next era. That¡¯s been a slow process in recent years, particularly with the recent run of injuries to top pitching prospects, but the Blue Jays are working to shift their development philosophy and shake off their recent reputation.
The 2024 Trade Deadline was a jolt of life to this system, and while it still needs to produce some top-end talent, Arjun Nimmala and Trey Yesavage have a chance to be just that. The Blue Jays have done well at developing position players to complement the MLB roster in recent years, but if Guerrero and Bichette both walk in free agency, this organization will soon need a new set of stars.
Looking ahead to a huge, meaningful year for this development system, here¡¯s a look at the new Blue Jays Top 30:
Here¡¯s a look at the Blue Jays¡¯ top prospects:
1. Arjun Nimmala, SS (MLB No. 87)
2. Trey Yesavage, RHP (MLB No. 88)
3. Orelvis Martinez, 2B/3B
4. Ricky Tiedemann, LHP
5. Alan Roden, OF

Biggest jump/fall
Here are the players whose ranks changed the most from the 2024 preseason list to the 2025 preseason list:
Jump: Alan Roden, OF (2024: 12 | 2025: 5)
If we¡¯ve learned one thing through the early weeks of Blue Jays camp, it¡¯s that everyone loves Alan Roden. The on-base machine has become an organizational favorite and is now pushing for his MLB debut, earning praise from GM Ross Atkins, manager John Schneider and many others throughout the system. Roden is built strong, and while he¡¯s not a slugger by any means, he should now be able to generate enough power to complement his plate approach. He¡¯s also one of the best base runners the Blue Jays have. Just about every arrow is pointing straight up for Roden right now.
Fall: Adam Macko, LHP (2024: 8 | 2025: 16)
Some prospects fell off the list entirely, but among those still ranked, Macko took a step back. It¡¯s not entirely of his own doing, though, as some prospects simply leapfrogged up the list while Macko, unfortunately, is dealing with another rehab after a bad-luck knee injury in camp led to arthroscopic surgery to clean up his meniscus. Macko¡¯s stuff had been climbing back to where the Blue Jays wanted it, so the timing was particularly frustrating, but Macko is still plenty talented and worth keeping an eye on in the second half of the season.
