Was claimed off waivers by Miami from Chicago-NL on July 30...Made 21 relief appearances for the Marlins in his second stint with the franchise, going 1-0 with a 2.03 ERA (6 ER/26.2 IP)...Made Marlins debut on July 31 at TB, allowing one hit with one strikeout in one scoreless inning...Did not allow a run through his first nine relief appearances with Miami (10.0 IP), allowing just three hits, one walk and one hit batter with 12 strikeouts...Became the first reliever in club history to start a stint with the franchise by striking out 12-or-more batters and walking only one (or zero) through his first nine appearances. Spent nearly the entire season with Albuquerque (AAA) in the COL organization, going 3-2 with a 6.00 ERA (36 ER/54.0 IP) in 36 games/2 starts for the Isotopes…added to Rockies’ active roster on 7/28 as a COVID-IL replacement player and made his only MLB appearance of the season that day at LAA (1.1 IP, 5 R-ER, career-high 3 HR) before he was returned to the minors the following day…was a non-roster invitee to Colorado’s Major League spring training camp.

2020

Traded to Miami Aug. 13 in exchange for RHP Chad Smith … designated for assignment by Miami after three appearances and selected off waivers by Colorado Sept. 3... Combined for five scoreless, hitless innings (three walks, three strikeouts) across three appearances for the Marlins... Made three appearances for the Rockies in Sept. after being re-acquired, allowing one run on three hits with four walks and three strikeouts over 3.2 innings.

Made 24 relief appearances across three stints in his first season in the Majors, including his Major League debut May 31 vs. Toronto, in his first season as a reliever ... Went 0-3 with one save and a 4.75 ERA (36.0 IP, 19 ER) across his 24 appearances ... Recalled for the first time on May 31 and made his debut that day vs. Toronto, pitching a scoreless inning … struck out Brandon Drury for his first Major League strikeout ... First career save on Sept. 14 vs. San Diego, tossing 1.1 scoreless innings in the Rockies' 11-10 win ... Pitched 2.2 innings or more in five appearances, and pitched three innings twice ... Went 2-6 with a 3.54 ERA (81.1 IP, 32 ER) for Low-A Lansing in the Blue Jays system before being traded to the Rockies ... Was assigned to Low-A Asheville and made his first start with the club on Aug. 2 … went 5-0 with a 0.77 ERA (35.0 IP, 3 ER) in August, earning MiLB.com South Atlantic League Player of the Month honors.

Pitched a club-high 56.1 innings while striking out the second-most batters (47) at Rookie Level Bluefield ... His 47 strikeouts on the season were a career high.
