Chase Alexander Lee…he and his wife, the former Claire Harrison, married on 12/12/21…the couple met in high school and both attended the University of Alabama, where Chase played baseball and Claire was an Alabama Crimsonette…nicknamed “The Viper” due to his side-winding motion…earned his college degree in aerospace engineering in May 2021...grew up a fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide…signed by Rangers scout Brian Morrison.

2022

Was honored as the organization’s Minor League Reliever of the Year after he went 2-2 with a 4.07 ERA (25 ER/55.1 IP), seven saves, 71 strikeouts, and just two home runs allowed over 51 appearances for Double-A Frisco (21 G) and Triple-A Round Rock (30 G) in his second pro season...struck out 70 of 238 (29.4%) batters faced while walking just 19 of 238 BF (8.0%)...was particularly dominant against left-handed hitters, holding LHB to a .253 opp. BA and .584 opp. OPS...promoted to Round Rock on 6/5 for his first career Triple-A action...finished the year by posting a 2.73 ERA (8 ER/26.1 IP) over his final 24 outings, including a scoreless streak spanning 11 appearances and 13.0 innings from 7/17-8/25 at Triple-A.

2021

Made 14 relief appearances for the ACL Rangers (Rk.) and Frisco (AA) in his first professional season, going 0-1 with 3 saves and a 3.50 ERA (7 ER/18.0 IP), averaging 15.0 strikeouts per 9 innings and striking out 30 of 69 (43.5%) batters faced…was selected in the draft on 7/12 and fanned 3 of 4 batters in scoreless Arizona Complex League debut on 7/31 at ACL Angels, his only outing at the Rookie level before being advanced to Frisco on 8/3…allowed just 2 R-ER in his first 11 G for the RoughRiders before being tagged for 5 R-ER in his last 2 appearances of the season…opponents batted .185 (12-65) overall and worked just 3 walks.
