Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium

The Detroit Tigers are committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable environment for our fans. In an effort to continue to provide enhanced safety to Tigers fans, the Tigers have implemented security measures at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium.

Here's what you need to know:

• Gates open two (2) hours prior to first pitch

• No bags are permitted inside the stadium with the following exceptions:

  • Single compartment wallets (hand clutch) smaller than 4¡± x 6¡± x 1.5¡± ¨C subject to search
  • Medical bags smaller than 16¡± x 16¡± x 1.5¡± ¨C subject to search

• All Guests are required to pass a screening process with includes emptying pockets of all belongings and walking through a metal detector.

  • Guests can opt-out of the walk thru metal detector screening, but will be subject to handheld metal detector screening or alternative screening procedures.

• Ballpark Non-Permitted Items:

  • Aerosol cans (hairspray, mace, pepper spray, etc.)
  • Animals (except ADA compliant service animals or service animals in training)
  • Bags
  • Baseball bats of any size
  • Beach balls or other inflatable items
  • Beverages
  • Blankets
  • Bottles (glass or plastic)
  • Brooms
  • Fireworks, firearms or other weapons
  • Fishing nets or poles
  • Frisbees
  • Hard sided cups, thermos or coolers
  • Knives of any size, shape or variety (box cutters, scissors, etc.)
  • Laser devices/pointers
  • Marijuana or illegal narcotics, including accessories or paraphernalia associated with marijuana or illegal narcotics use.
  • Markers and paint
  • Noisemaking devices: air horns, bullhorns, thunder sticks, cowbells, bells, horns, kazoos, whistles and other noisemakers
  • Selfie sticks
  • Signs of any kind
  • Skateboards, rollerblades, hoverboards, segways, scooters
  • Smoking, vaping and any form of e-cigarettes
  • Squirt guns of any kind
  • Stools, folding chairs or back supports
  • Umbrellas, large or golf size umbrellas. Only small collapsible umbrellas allowed.
  • Unmanned aerial vehicle (i.e. drones)

• Ballpark Permitted Items (after inspection):

  • Baseball gloves
  • Binoculars
  • Beach towels
  • Cameras
  • Seat cushions (soft-sided)
  • Small radios
  • Strollers
  • Umbrellas (small collapsible)
  • Water (one clear plastic unopened bottle)
