Rays return to Tropicana Field for a two-team, six-game homestand

Two AL East Matchups Conclude Regular Season Home Campaign

The Tampa Bay Rays return to Tropicana Field on Tuesday for their final regular season homestand: a two-team, six-game stretch against the Boston Red Sox (September 17-19) and Toronto Blue Jays (September 20-22). The Rays 2024 season is presented by Orlando Health.

The Rays Baseball Foundation will host the annual Shirts Off Our Backs fundraiser, presented by United Concordia Dental, throughout the final homestand. Fans can make a donation to the Rays Baseball Foundation at Shirts Off Our Backs table locations, or with a volunteer, and receive a scratch-off card with the chance to win team-issued City Connect jerseys, tickets to a 2025 Rays home game and other exciting prizes. Fans can receive two scratch-offs for $10, five for $20, 10 for $30 and 20 for $50. Scratch-off cards will be available at Gate 1, Gate 3, Gate 5, the Republic Bank Draft Room and from roaming volunteers.   • In-Game Presentation: The Rays Baseball Foundation will present The Poynter Institute with a $35,000 grant in support of the Write Field Program. This free, academic year-long program teaches Black and Hispanic middle schoolers how to be better writers, communicators and students.
  • Tuesday¡¯s Champion: Before every Tuesday home game, the Rays recognize a child from the Make-A-Wish Foundation or the Children¡¯s Dream Fund as part of the Tuesday¡¯s Champion program, presented by RIPA & Associates. The Rays will host 8-year-old Trinity from the Children¡¯s Dream Fund. As part of Trinity¡¯s special day as Tuesday¡¯s Champion, she will meet Rays players and throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Trinity has been battling Neuroblastoma for six years. She loves to swim, and her favorite Rays player is Colin Poche.

  • In-Game Presentation: The Duke Energy Foundation donates $1,000 to the Share the Light Foundation for every Rays win during the regular season. All the money raised is presented to various nonprofits throughout the area. This year, the Duke Energy Foundation will donate $100,000 to Share the Light.
  • In-Game Presentation: As a part of their Every Hit is a Win program, Suncoast donates $90 to local non-profits throughout the community for every hit tallied by Rays players. Fans can vote every month on the Suncoast Credit Union Facebook page on which nonprofit will receive the total donation for that month. On Wednesday, Suncoast will be presenting $60,000 to 12 different local non-profits: ZooTampa, Humane Society of Tampa Bay, Feeding Tampa Bay, Golisano Children's Museum, United Way of Central Florida, YMCA of the Suncoast, Guadalupe Center, Celebrate Birthdays, Hardee Help Center, Advantage Village Academy, Dawning Center and Pinellas PAL.

  • Go-Ahead Entry: Tropicana Field now offers MLB Go-Ahead entry, the optional, hands-free ballpark entry experience. Fans 18 and older can voluntarily opt-in for MLB Go-Ahead Entry in the MLB Ballpark app. Go-Ahead Entry uses facial authentication technology to identify an enrolled fan and allow ticket holders to enter the ballpark at dedicated gates at full walking speed without stopping. Participating fans will capture an image of their face on the app that is converted into a unique alphanumeric code, known as a token. The image will then be deleted.   • Rays Touch Experience: The first of its kind at a professional sports venue, Rays Touch Experience is a 35-foot, 10,000-gallon exhibit located just beyond the right-center field fence at Tropicana Field. This unique and educational fan experience has been created through a partnership with The Florida Aquarium. The beautiful cownose stingrays are the same species that live in the waters of Tampa Bay and are cared for by the Florida Aquarium staff. A complete wellness program including a healthy diet, routine medical exams and behavioral observation is provided for the rays. Fans can visit when gates open to the top of the ninth inning (the tank will close at the top of each hour for 10 minutes to give the rays a touch break).
  • Specialty Rooms: The Nursing Room is a private room for child caretaking behind home plate near the First Aid station. The Sensory Room is a safe space for anyone with sensory processing needs in Suite 45. It was designed in collaboration with the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD).
