As in the wake of Hurricanes Charley, Harvey, Irma, Maria, Michael and Dorian, the Rays aim to bring aid and recovery to victims of Hurricane Ian by collaborating with community partners and nonprofit organizations with expertise in delivering aid.

Garbage pickup has resumed regular pickup schedule for regular household solid waste only. No recycling.
Storm Debris Pick-up Debris Separation Guide (English or Spanish) - Do not bag any debris. Vegetative debris must not be mixed with construction debris or household items (furniture, appliances). Keep all debris away from fire hydrants, backflow preventers and water meter boxes. Storm debris collection does not include commercial businesses.
Charlotte County Transit resumed normal operations for shared curb-to-curb ride service. Call 941.575.4000 for reservations.
Community Development Department is open with limited services. Walk-ins welcomed or visit online permitting portal.

D-SNAP (Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Program) available to eligible individuals/families who are not currently receiving food assistance through SNAP.
Operation Blue Roof provides and installs tarps on roofs. Operation Blue Roof is a free program where a contractor installs a fiber-reinforced, industrial-strength sheeting to protect storm-damaged roofs until homeowners can make permanent repairs. Sign-up at:
