Lindos Sue?os Terms and Conditions
What is Lindos Sue?os?
Lindos Sue?os is a program administered by the Boston Red Sox Baseball Club Limited Partnership (the "Boston Red Sox") that strives to bring people of different backgrounds together through the common appeal of baseball and community service. Pursuant to the application and interview process set forth below, the Boston Red Sox will select ten (10) eligible teenage boys from the Eligible Territory (defined below) to travel to the Dominican Republic under the supervision of the Boston Red Sox and participate in baseball and community service activities alongside ten (10) teenage boys from the Dominican Republic.
Who can apply to participate in Lindos Sue?os?
Applicants must be (i) male; (ii) baseball players; (iii) juniors or seniors in high school during the 2025 - 2026 school year; (iv) between the ages of sixteen (16) and eighteen (18) as of the date of the trip; and (v) located within the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont (the "Eligible Territory"). All applicants under the age of eighteen (18) must receive consent from a parent/legal guardian in order to participate and have the application submitted by their parent/legal guardian.
How are individuals selected for Lindos Sue?os?
Interested individuals that meet the eligibility requirements contained herein must fill out the application located at /redsox/community/lindos-suenos/application in order to be considered for participation in the program. All applicants must provide an essay of at least five hundred (500) characters explaining why they would like to participate in Lindos Sue?os on or before April 19, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. ET (subject to extension by the Boston Red Sox in their sole discretion). Following submission of a completed application, each eligible applicant will receive an invitation to answer additional interview questions over video through HireVue. All applications and HireVue videos will be reviewed by Boston Red Sox staff, who will select finalists to interview with Boston Red Sox staff by Zoom. The Boston Red Sox shall select all participants in their sole discretion. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Boston Red Sox may modify or cancel the Lindos Sue?os program at any time. All individuals submitting applications, and their parents/legal guardians, agree to release and hold the MLB Entities (defined below), including the Boston Red Sox harmless from and against any and all rights, claims and causes of action that may arise against either of them in connection with this program. "MLB Entities" means the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball ("BOC"), its Bureaus, Committees, Subcommittees and Councils, MLB Advanced Media, L.P. ("MLB"), Major League Baseball Properties, Inc., The MLB Network, LLC, the Major League Baseball Clubs ("Clubs"), each of their parent, subsidiary, affiliated, and related entities, any entity which, now or in the future, controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with the Clubs or the BOC, and the owners, general and limited partners, shareholders, directors, officers, employees, and agents of the foregoing entities.
When will Lindos Sue?os take place?
The Lindos Sue?os trip to the Dominican Republic is currently scheduled for July 21, 2025 to July 31, 2025 (subject to change by the Boston Red Sox in their sole discretion).
Are there any costs associated with the Lindos Sue?os program?
Round trip airfare from Boston, MA and food, ground transportation and hotel rooms in the Dominican Republic will be provided to the selected participants free of charge. All selected participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the airport in Boston, MA, as well as any additional spendings outside of the covered program expenses.
What else should I know?
The Boston Red Sox retain sole and absolute discretion regarding the evaluation of applicants, the selection of each participant, and the administration of the program. If an applicant does not accept the opportunity within seventy-two (72) hours of a communication from the Boston Red Sox notifying the application, the Boston Red Sox may select a different applicant for participation in their sole and absolute discretion. All decisions made by the Boston Red Sox in connection herewith are final, and no correspondence will be entered into relating to these decisions. The Boston Red Sox reserve the right to require potential selected participants and their parents/legal guardians to complete certain documentation, such as a certificate of eligibility, liability release, publicity release (except where prohibited by law), photo/image waiver and release, and authorization for background check, as a condition of potential selection for participation in the Lindos Sue?os program. The Boston Red Sox reserve the right to modify or cancel the Lindos Sue?os program at any time in their sole discretion.
The Boston Red Sox and MLB Entities are not responsible for stolen, late, incomplete, illegible, inaccurate, misdirected, lost, misrouted, scrambled, damaged, delayed, undelivered, mutilated, postage-due, or garbled entries, transmissions, email, or mail; lost, interrupted, or unavailable network, cable, satellite, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), wireless network, website, or other connections; availability, accessibility, miscommunications, or failures of computer, satellite, telephone, cable, or wireless transmissions or lines; computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures, or difficulties; wireless service congestion; failures or malfunctions of phones, phone lines, telephone systems, wireless towers, or cellular tower equipment; any error, omission, interruption, defect, or delay in wireless or other transmission, processing, or communication; printing, typographical, or other errors appearing within these Terms and Conditions, in any program-related advertisements, or other materials; cancellation or postponement of any program trip; or any other errors, problems, or difficulties of any kind, whether human, mechanical, electronic, or other, relating to the program, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with administration of the program, processing of applications, announcement of any selected participants, or any program-related materials. The Boston Red Sox and MLB Entities are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users (e.g., hacking) or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the program. The Boston Red Sox and MLB Entities are not responsible for injury or damage to applicant's or to any other person's computer and/or wireless device related to or resulting from participating in this program or downloading materials from or use of the program website. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the program or website; attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of the program by cheating, deception, or other unfair playing practices; intend to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other applicant or any representative of the Boston Red Sox and/or MLB; or who are in violation of these Terms and Conditions, as solely determined by the Boston Red Sox, will be disqualified and their application will be void. The Boston Red Sox shall have the sole right to disqualify any entrant for violation of these Terms and Conditions or any applicable laws relating to the program and to resolve all disputes in its sole discretion.
